However, we do have a backlog of things we want to implement, and you can see the rough plans (though these plans can be fluid, they are not set in stone), by checking our milestones out.
Vember Audio Surge is now open-source

Well, as baconpaul likes to say, "it's just code", but I wouldn't expect anything at the level of Tranzistow, no.

Yep the nightly has had about 50 Airwindows FX for some weeks now already. There are some bugs there still that need ironing out (and UX improvements, stuff like nice and consistent names for parameters, default values, factory presets...), but we're on track for the mid-January release. And yes, more filters are already in, one of them still needs to be finished (OB-Xd filter needs access to BP, HP and notch modes, as well as variants of all of them with pushed self-oscillation for PHATNESS).

That skin looks sick

Both skins will also have some touchups and consistency improvements. And if all goes well, another skin will be presented!

Would you consider a black, with silver trim and wood colored side panels like the Moog One?

That's up to the designers. But that third skin does employ wood in its design.

That skin in 1.8, would those files work in the latest nightly build?

Not yet as its assets aren't finalized, it's still a work in progress.

Latest release of Surge keeps crashing Ableton Live when I select a preset from the drop down menu.
I’m on Mac, using the AU version in Live 10.
It happens fairly often although not always. I have reinstalled it with the latest version from the website and same thing happens.
It doesn’t seem to happen when selecting a preset using the arrow buttons, only when clicking on a preset in the drop down menu. Also my user presets disappeared prior to reinstalling Surge!
Just thought it was worth reporting. Otherwise very happy user here

I can't confirm that on Win10, Live 10.1.14 and Surge 1.7.1.5270cfb. Loading presets from dropdown works fine.
I also can't understand why someone downvotes EvilDragon's posts in this thread. He's doing a brilliant VOLUNTARY job representing the VOLUNTARY dev team working hard on a FREE soft synth. I'm super thankful for Vember Audio and all the contributors who have made this possible, Surge is a perfect companion to my other synths, a multitool with low CPU footprint. These guys deserve a bit more respect is all I'¨m trying to say here.
