Don't know what it is or who's performing, but it's got a lot of orchestral instruments and what sounds like either a saxophone ensemble or one really impressive sax player. Partly tonal, partly kinda-sorta-atonal. Not sure what to call it, but it's def from the MODERN period.
Good to hear Bobbie Barajas (who handles our NPR affiliate's afternoon music program) playing something I haven't heard until I'm sick and tired of it.
[edit] Ah: it was performed by Saxology Canada. Didn't catch the name of the piece... unless that was the name of the piece, not the performers.
In any case, glad she played it. Now it's back to old chestnuts; my eyes are Glazunov-er. *sigh*
