I forgot to mention I am using the original St2 xl library. The one that was included when st2 xl came out. I know there was a sound update later on. It didn't feel right to me to have to pay again to get those revamped sounds ($100), so I stuck with the original library. Maybe the newer sounds are better..: but I prefer the quality of SR libraries in general

Has something happened so that people who've bought twice now only get one pack rather than two in the 6x1? There's only one new pack available for download in my user area, anyway.

Edit: I've now spotted how it works

There's only one mention in the Promotions area, but when you click on it there's two mentions. (I know that sentence is semantically bollix, but it's a national holiday today so my brain is turned off for 24 hours.)

Anyway - hiphop instruments for one - but for the other????

It only shows one but when you click on it, you get to chose the two packs.

Downloading from IK, no problem.

But trying to download the SR free pack (I chose a RAW pack) from downloadablesoundz, clicking "download" the url of a .zip file appears in the address bar but it won't load/start the DL. Been waiting 15 mins, have just clicked the DL button again, no change.

Don't want to log out/in 'cos I fear the DL link may have disappeared (in fact maybe it's already used up after clicking twice).

Any advice?

EDIT: Never mind, it needed a magic 3rd click to get the DL going...and it's DL'ing v slowly....

I cant believe that 7X1 is possible

even the 6x1 had a very very long way!

if 6x1 needed 1000 joins (instead of 1500) like 5x1, 4 and 7 it could possible!

But again , you never know!

I picked the Electric Guitar 2 collection. I was pleasantly suprised with the consistent quality of both the presets and the main raw samples. The levels are proper and you can start using the presets out of the box I can't say the same about the Vocal Collection- which is a reminder- you can find my redone child presets in the KVR Banks & Patches section- it should help out a lot with the low quality (and inconsistent tuning) of the Vocal Collection presets.

I grabbed the Esoundz World RAW pack and have been very happy with them so I do recommend that pack for anyone wanting loops for use outside of SampleTank.
One thing- if you are looking at the RAW packs and notice the download size- remember to divide that by 3 as there are 3 versions in each download. I was thinking I was getting almost 1.5GB of samples- but in reality, I only have 500mb of loops (in Apple format in my case).

Once people see 6x1 is guaranteed now it could change minds. We do mailings and such but it really is up to you guys to spread the word if you want 7x1 because it really IS possible.
