And here are some of my brief thoughts:
I just took a few moments to download this today. Once I also downloaded that Pd-L2Ork it worked a treat! As an FYI to others... this does run 'stand alone' and you need to 'pipe' the midi into your DAW (Studio One in my case) with something like loopMidi and send it to your Largo track.
I spent a few moments with it and had some real enjoyable results. There is a slider at the bottom that controls the overall amount of randomization. Tonight I was interested in more esoteric sounds and soundscapes and got a couple nice ones with this. Not sure if you wanted slight variations on say on a bass sound you like how well this would work (yet), so I would approach this as more experimental .

Demo video(s) by BT is worth watching. Version 2 can be used for applications beyond just stutter gestures, etc.

Thanks for the heads-up @nonstatic . I'm away from my main PC and DAWS but just tried it quickly in Cantabile and MIDI out from Obscurium going into Zebra seemed to work.nonstatic wrote: Tue Feb 08, 2022 11:36 am Obscurium has been updated to v1.1, and the changelog says "MIDI FX". Can anyone confirm if this means that it can now be used as a MIDI Effect instead of an Instrument?

tried it in logic and it loads as a midi fx there.nonstatic wrote: Tue Feb 08, 2022 11:36 am Obscurium has been updated to v1.1, and the changelog says "MIDI FX". Can anyone confirm if this means that it can now be used as a MIDI Effect instead of an Instrument?
I've been using it in ableton for a long time just doing the normal VSTi output midi routing.

Amazing, I have had a few sugar bytes plugins and I don't think any have ever had a feature updatenonstatic wrote: Tue Feb 08, 2022 11:36 am Obscurium has been updated to v1.1, and the changelog says "MIDI FX". Have you noticed that Obscurium appears to be sending midi to another plugin (midi activity monitor) even when you aren't actively triggering anything?

Seems to be for MacOS only. Do you know if something like this exists for Windows Users?dopet wrote: Mon Feb 07, 2022 3:10 pmHere is the link to the site: https://machineaura.gumroad.com/l/largoccrandMusical Gym wrote: Mon Feb 07, 2022 5:08 amCan you share links?dopet wrote: Sun Feb 06, 2022 4:47 pm I just downloaded a Largo Vsti randomizer built in PD yesterday (found in the KVR forums) and after downloading the ‘hosting program’ to run it in, it worked fine

I’m on windows and I have a working version. If you keep following the links from that 1st gumroad page you would eventually get to:
http://l2ork.music.vt.edu/main/make-you ... /software/
Look for:
Download Pd-L2Ork
Complete (a.k.a. ‘Burrito Supreme’) Installer
Source Code
L2Ork Compositions & Abstractions
And download the Burrito Supreme installer (there’s a windows version in the list).
Once L2Ork is loaded, Run an instance and you can open the Randomizer file from gumroad in L2Ork.
I’m on my phone, so I hope this helps a little ….
