I've been working on this in the background for a bit and it's coming together now. Today's stream is just a public test run. You won't hear me talking, just playing with some synthesizers.

I'm really hoping to make this a regular habit, but I've said that before, lol!

That was insanely nice.
You kept vurt awake which is probably impressive if he let us know how much weed he smoked before that.

Thanks for watching!
Brit and I shared a joint at 4:20pm, just before I started preparing to go live. I was worried I might fall asleep!

well i may be able to help, although, i realise its kind of obvious so maybe everyone else will be wondering why it took me so long, but i went from the finnegans wake of modular patching guides, to plain technical. there were other "iterations" between, but i really cleaned it up
from that, to this...vurt wrote:i use this iteration, slowed down, with the envelope follower going to a mult, then to multimod. Another out from the mult goes to nijel, a distortion on my guitar/ebow.
Various outs from multimod then control echophon, bruxa in to xpan, then more multimod outs on mimeophon.
Also adding a multi mod out to the pitch on morphagene.
still need to finalise the cv destinations, having fun trying a few combinations so far, which brings me to...vurt wrote:Also, reading my patch notes left me a little embarrassed, so I have refined that a little, hope this helps (with a couple of changes after testing)
Audio paths
Morphagene channel 1 - echophon - x-pan
morphagene channel 2 - bruxa - x-pan
Guitar/ebow - nijel - x-pan
X-pan - mimeophon
Cv paths
Morphagene env follower - multimod
Mults 2/4/6/8 with mults,
These will go 1 from each, to each delay and one to nijel.
Maths channel 1 - multimod spread.
Prsspnt gate to hold
yup, as you can see, my expectations from my submission, changed a bit even on first tests, its very difficult for me to think "id like to acheive this, so lets see how i can make something, to fulfill that in morphagene" as morphagene for me has always been finding things within whatever i put in there!I had an overly complicated patch, but was having fun. The only bad part is that my submission is not what I wanted.
but yes, fun trying to do things a different way, and answer the questions posed in the first video as i went along.
i also added another level of difficulty, in that i wanted my 30 and 15 second pieces, to be just that, a standalone piece, as well as sample fodder, and retaining some memory of the ferrous guitar. found its much harder to fill 15 seconds than it is 2 hours

Currently have the B2600 next to the euro rack and I realized that its VCA out is euro rack level. It’s the out I use most of the time as it bypasses the spring reverb and so is ‘clean’.
I was comparing its saw wave to the PRO 3 and it’s considerable. B2600 is buzzier, perhaps rawer sounding while the Pro 3 is warmer or what I think of when I think of an analog saw. Beyond the raw oscillator, the filters are quite different as well. I am pretty sure anyone would say that the Pro 3 has better filters although I have always been disappointed with its ladder filter specifically.
I point all this out because I wonder why I have both of them. Pro 3 is the premium product, but doesn’t have a premium feel. While the B2600 is an efficient remake of a synth from the 1970’s that I never knew existed until I got it.
I think these two machines perfectly encapsulate the progress made in synthesizers in 50 years with the addition of digital memory; sequencing; mod matrix; and compact packaging.

Worked on a new tracking template today, containing an elaborate setup around my recently purchased Groove Bias drum kits. Not finished yet; more to do tomorrow.
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, Moved to Reason and Rack Extensions exclusively (from Reaper and VSTs) several years ago.

Known about it for months, but I finally checked the support of Knobula Echo Cinematic to see about the knobs not working correctly and, wouldn't you know it, there's a firmware update that addresses the issue. So I updated the firmware after installing Chrome - AKA Google's spy bot and all is well.
Not wanting to hear the same track too much in a row, I started a new one with an idea to send the Quadrantid Swarm into Farbshaper's folder
there you go - techno classic__but no it's 7/4 time, so yea, unique.
