I just did my bit and joined for a third time. Before I did so, I downloaded one of the Construction Kits as one of my 6x1 freebies just to make sure those packs might be useful to me.
The answer is a resounding YES. Although, my original inclination was to stick my nose up at a Construction Kit, I have to admit that I see the potential for squeezing some good (and original) juice out of these. The Construction Kit packs have 2 different folders of presets. One set has ALL the parts of a Construction Kit preset spread out over different notes on your keyboard. The other set has Loop Slice versions of each loop in each Construction Kit, so that you can play the loops and invent your own brand new creations.
A really cool thing about playing some of the Construction Kit packs in Loop Slice format is that you can invent unique parts that you may never have come up with otherwise. If you are playing the Loop Slice for a Synth line, for example, you can find yourself creating something very interesting by playing around with the keys, since notes are not where you would normally expect them to be on the keyboard. You can be inspired, and end up with something sounding really cool and original just through a little experimenting.
So once, you wrap you mind around using the Construction Kit packs as yet another creative/inspirational tool, you will want to grab all of them. I am gonna take all 6.
I'd pick World Instruments, simply because you can ALWAYS use extra percussion in your library. The vocal presets might be less useful, but only you can decide on which type of instruments you would use most in your music.ddash wrote:What is better choice, the vocal collection or world instruments?
I need help on deciding my last pick.
