Yeah, thanks, but there appears to be no record of this anywhere? The 2014 purchase was clearly newsworthy.

Yes, it's somewhat obscure - like everything else since July at Digital River. But Kasoff (his full name is "Barry Louis Kasoff") clearly is named as owner on the "about us" site of Digital River when you click on his pic:
https://www.digitalriver.com/about-us/
He's both CEO and owner. So it's him who implemented all this crazy BS, the no communication thing, and finally simply the theft of our money. He started claiming that merchant debts are no longer to be recognized as valid obligations. So he made theft legal for himself.
No business with such an a**hole who spits on his business partners who bring in the money.
Not with us, Barry. F**k you.

after 2 month they now finally confirmed my termination today with default communication:
We received confirmation with the termination of your MyCommerce account. Please note that your MyCommerce account is now officially closed from processed any further orders. Please advise that your remaining balance would be held for 180 days to cover refunds and chargebacks that may be received for your recent MyCommerce orders. After that period has lapsed, your remaining balance would be paid using the payment details we have on file for your MyCommerce account.
We thank you for your previous partnership and we wish you the best of luck in all your future ventures.
Thank you.

Well done Alex, you've escaped the hideous monster!
What was the process, did you continuously message the 'Solution Centre' - or did you write to someone by letter/email?

I terminated by tracked letter to the cologne address. letter showed up in a new case in the solution center 2 weeks later.
I only asked them about the status once, because nothing happened in 4 weeks after ticket creation.

Thanks, it's interesting that it appeared on the S.C. anyway. I'm going to tell them I disagree with their updated contract, and try the same.

Letters are getting scanned and uploaded by their partner here in Germany that provides them services for their official postal address.
When you provide all relevant details it should end up in the SC

In my case a simple support case was required to terminate the account (I deleted all products before).
However they still require KYC for the payments (which already took so many support hours in my case).

When they now suddenly should delare bankruptsy at the end of Junuary (as some suppose) this would be a clear case of delayed insolvency by deception (since they pretended to be fine) which makes the limited liability of a GmbH fall away. In this case Barry Kasoff would be liable for the owed money down to his own assets.
