I think you misuderstood. Load your plugin into a host at 96khz. Insert a bell filter. Tweak it with the mouse. You'll quickly see that the graphics are bugging. The 'dot' that one grabs is not at the same place as the 'bell' graphics. Nothing to do with audio.

Cheers!

I noticed the dot was to the side of the peak center. Is that what you mean, bmanic?

Yes indeed... FRitz found a good one... we were ignoring midstream changes to SR. Worked fine if they never changed from startup, but not so good otherwise...

Version 1.58 -- for FRitz!

David, would it be difficult to fix meter's behaviour so that when idle it goes all the way down? Thanks!

Oh, I see... the graph simply isn't being updated until it starts processing audio... that should be easy to fix...

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Only happens at samplerates of 88,2kHz and 96kHz.

Here's a picture of what happens:

Yes the knob in the graph was based on filter frequencies, but the graph was (incorrectly) computing its own z-coordinates at high SR. Fixed now in 1.59

David you are a machine! Don't you ever sleep? :D

I'm getting used to the idea of 4 or 5 bug-fix releases per day... you're making everyone else look shabby! Better watch out for reprisals from other developers... ;)

MSPaint that ships with WinXP lets you save pictures as .png.

But for a bigger, better solution, you'll want the GIMP.

No shiznit. I can't keep up with these updates. :hihi:

Seriously, though, David is proving to be generous almost to a fault. I think he will go down as the Mother Theresa of native DSP. :D

And, to chime in on the $1000 price tag---this is pro level software. Who can deny that?

I think $1000 is a sensible number because it opens the door for a lot of lower level pro studios who could never afford a Massenburg, but they certainly will spend $1000 on a mid-priced h/w EQ, so I think a lot of them would find this an attractive price point.

Woe be to us lowly non-pros who can't afford a $1000 effect, but I guess we have to just get off our duffs and make some cash. In the mean time, there's still the three band.

Now if it only were simple to generate buzz in this sector, or find the right outlet, neither of which can be done here on KVR.

This is the fastest development I've ever witnessed. It's been what, two weeks since those extremely hostile attacks against david and his abilities as a developer.

Maybe the quality should be set to 5 in the screenshot on http://refinedaudiometrics.com/pages/16/index.htm

I think that's how psychology works. :)

To Dave's credit, as far as I can recall he responded to the accusations by ignoring them and letting the plug-in do the talking (apart from re-iterating that they weren't doctors). Criticism has long since silenced.

I also second the mouse-wheel adjusting Q idea.

Small feature request - would it be possible to adjust the steepness of the hipass/lopass filters? Would probably be easiest to do as a static parameter (i.e. select steepness from filter list) but would also be mad to have it as a separate continously changeable parameter...
