One more time as this important news just got bumped off the bottom of the page...

I've got a report in that Poly-Ana is installing and working fine on Vista now. (Vista 64 even!) So meeks, have you had a chance to try the demo again? It should work for you now.

2 and a half weeks left in the Beta offer. $69.95 (USD) if you buy before April 2. $129.95 (USD) after April 2.

Cheers2!

Man, I tried it,

Sounds Great!

Few minors though, and I may be able to get help.

It crashed FL Studio5 and killed my EMU0404 AISO Driver
(until restart) that was with a 4ms latency. I got it working in FL after changing to direct sound with increased buffers (unworkable latency)I mainly use FL for a quick scetch and for trying out new plugs, so its no real issue.

EXT held it fine with My EMU Aiso set with a 2ms latency! nice!!

Now those are not complaints by any means, just feedback.

In addition, I went to DL the bannana skin as its shown on your site as not having the Dials, they look great but because of the high res of my screen, I have to squint to see the readings, thus making it hard to work with (for me)when I loaded the skin the knobs came back.

Is there any way to amend this?

Minor issues aside, I really like the sound of this synth and am seriously looking at a purchase, But I would need to (unfortunately) lose the knobs to speed up work flow and save my eyes.

looking forward to giving it another blast tonight.

Cheers

Hey Dayl, The modulation source selector dials/dropdown option is selected in the Options Dialog, (click open the About box by clicking on the product name then Click the Options... button) Either choice works on any colored background.

Glad you like the sound, thanks for the report! (I'll run it by my FLS testers again but thought we were stable, last I heard from them.)

Thanks Mate,
Simple as that huh? great.

I wish I could elaborate a little further as to why I had issues. I'll be tweaking it tonight so will see if I can provide some more relevant info or confirm if its the synth or my setup (could very well be the later)

I know my pc can take it. While not the most future proof by any means (new one in the works)

Athlon XP 2000 with a GIG of ram should be ample.

will let you know anyhow.

Thanks

Q1: Is anybody using Poly-Ana on Vista? If so, any problems or is it all fixed now? My understanding is that it's working fine now but would like some more feedback before I get too confident. ;)

Q2: I want to get this synth working on Receptor. Any Receptor users out there who would like to help me test some things? If the tests go well, you'll end up with a free license when I get to the final testing the auth key part. PM or email me (aq@... ), I'll need to send you a special version of Poly-Ana, the regular one will NOT install on Receptor due to known issues.

Q3: (This one isn't really a question) Are you using Sonar 6.2? Have sound dropouts? Try disabling the new "X-Ray Windows" feature and let me know if it doesn't get better. It seems it's using a LOT more CPU power for the GUI under X-Ray Windows, enough to cause dropouts (clicking or gaps in the audio output.) Closing the Poly-Ana editor GUI also cures this, but it's nice to be able to see it while you hear it.

Thanks everyone!

Looks like I came late to the party lol. This synth is just wonderful-- lots of modulation options and an unbelievably PHAAATTT sound. 70 bucks? What the hell you thinking selling it that cheap? :) Admiral, you have another buyer. :).

How does it perform in the bass department? Is it low and beefy?

It's one of the best synth I've heard in the bass register. (I'm a DnB producer so, you can imagine it's that's what I'm always looking for)
But anyway, you should try the demo and find if it's what you're after

ttoz, that 106-Unibass patch uses several voices in unison. 6 I believe. So one note of it is like playing a 6 note chord with another patch. You can reduce the demand by turning down the Polyphony knob. And/or reduce the Quality/Oversampling setting in the Options Dialog.

It's probably just CPU. Yes, she's a relatively hungry synth. (Intentionally too. :) )
