I admit my brain left me as I read about the new version, so I didn't even check if the website has much info about it, Krim. HERE at the CM-website (music radar) you can read a first review. All in all you get more sound-mangling tools, and it seems roughly (dunno exactly, but think i got about 2,5GB of sounds with the m-tron plus the 3 soundbanks I bought) 1 GB more mellotron-sounds. Or so...
So it stays, basically, a mellotron-emulation, but you can have 2 layers now, for combining m-tron-sounds.
For me it's like with the old m-tron - saw it and bought it

It's also a Birotron and a Optigon emu as well. I've had my grubby mits on this beast for about a month and between M-Tron Pro and VSM I'm set for Boards of Canada pads for life! I love that you get "mastered" patches as well as original or dirty patches for all of the original M-Tron sounds.

This thing definitely has some sick character. :)

You will be able to upgrade to M-Tron Pro provided you show us proof of your original purchase.
Damn - wonder what the chances are of finding my receipt from 2002....

:-(
In my case I have no scanner!
I made a screen shot with the plugin and the "tape browser" open to show that I have M-Tron and all 3 add-on volumes. But Chris at GForce remembered me after a few years :-)
Thanks Chris!

Audiomidi keeps a record of your past purchases. Wish I could remember where I got mine from. :(

Good morning all,

Firstly, we'd like to say a big THANK YOU to all of you who've bought M-Tron in the past and continue to show us such loyalty and support. In this fickle age it's really heartening to see names still contacting us from as far back as 2000 asking about our new release, M-Tron Pro.

Thank you all! :D

Secondly, I see that there are a few here worried about finding ancient invoices or supporting purchase paperwork for their original M-Tron purchase. I couldn't find mine either. ;-)

Not having an invoice does not stop you contacting us and making an application for an upgrade. We ask that you provide as much supporting evidence as you have to show that you are legitimate owner of M-Tron. I also have our GMedia records going back to 2000 which I can check if your bought directly from us.

Please check the FAQ here:

http://www.gforcesoftware.com/support_f ... strument=6

Open the FAQ and see the section headed:

"I bought M-Tron a few years ago before registration codes were issued and do not have the correct registration code."

If you don't have an invoice please still fill in the application form and send us a pic of your discs adding any additional information in the 'Notes' section.

Using the application form is the best route as it allows me to easily keep track of the applications.

Hi Chris,

sounds great! When my girlfriend comes back, she'll take a picture from me and the disc, where the serial is printed on.

Thanks a lot (also to my mate, Señor Klemperer, who wanted to help me in this case)!

Hi,

I'm actually kind of happy to buy M-Tron Pro at "full price"(legal owner of M-Tron and three add-on sets).
I don't have a credit card and the PayPal won't work for me either,so visiting
friendly local music shop is my cup of tea (Earl Grey with a milk).

Happy to see the 'Violins 2' patch returning(presumably it was omitted from the M-Audio edition of M-Tron),but where are those Beatles/crazy animal sound effects (only kidding)?

I hope the retailers get their stock as soon as possible. :hihi:
Compassion and knowledge.

Whoa!

2 nights ago I was trying take photos of my old M-Tron disks, and today my NEW DVD arrived in the post!

Many thanks for the super-fast response!

Hi Chris,

i sent a mail regarding my purchase in 2000.
Actually I was just looking for updates and the patch converter for the m-tron, I will update later, just wanted to get it running under cubase 4 and vista.
Found the updates and patch converter on an old backup CD already, up and running.

I actually forgot I had m-tron until I saw this thread:))))

cheers
