They definitely deserve some credit for trying new things in their interfaces. I think this scheme mostly works very well in Volcano, but it breaks down at the level of complexity of some of the more detailed Twin 2 patches. I think I'd honestly rather just have an old-fashioned mod matrix.

It's logical, but inefficient. Modulations are spread all over the place so you can't see very many of them at once. For simpler patches it works well but some of the more complex patches are a mess. Look at the grand piano patch, for instance.

I completely agree and I did tell them my opinion about this during beta testing. Simply having the possibility of renaming the modulation slots would help a lot in "back tracking" presets. Heck, I have no idea myself how that piano preset works! I got lost in it myself.. I just know it "breaks" real easily when tweaking some of the modulations. :P

The thing is, it's very quick to setup and start creating a complex patch but it's a nightmare to maintain and to trim "the useless crap" away later.

Cheers!

+1 Cleaning up experiments is daunting :hihi: Naming the slots would help a lot instead of just numbering.
..what goes around comes around..

It's pretty funny to see little floppy disk save icons on a UI this polished.

+1 or a bigger gui (full screen even for a better overview). It's too cramped for all that flexibility imo. I thought it was going to be bigger when i saw the demo video.
