pretty sure it was "writing about music is like dancing about architecture" and it was Zappa responding to music critics...the interweb wasn't too clear, but i think i read the quote before i knew who elvis costello was...

anyone else check out the PBS show about Phillip Glass last night?

If you are really trying to gain or provide unbiased insight on a topic, think about wording your questions and statements differently. You may find that people don't argue with you so often.
If you are expressing an opinion, do so like the rest of us assholes, bluntly.
Finally, and this definitely is not directed at you justin3am, the term passive/aggressive is both overused and misapplied. Yes, it can be valid for certain types of consistent behaviors, but completely invalid for discussions in which one can consider and hold multiple points of view.
Signs of passive-aggressive behavior- Ambiguity or speaking cryptically: a means of engendering a feeling of insecurity in others.

pfft ...
everyone knows it was oscar wilde ...

it was right after he said :

"I have had it with these mother f**king snakes on this mother f**king plane"

~ Oscar Wilde, on these mother f**king snakes on this mother f**king plane
And here I thought it was Noam Chomsky... you know, the incense guy.
no, I'm pretty sure it was Oscar Wilde, who only moments later said, "fasten your cummerbunds, it's going to be a bumpy ride"

clearly the people posting here are interested in experimenting with audio in one way or another, so, i wonder if you have time to help me with a little project.

can you record me four or 5 mins of tuning a radio.
it has to be a non digital radio (damn useless f**king things) and i dont mind if you tune in and stay with a channel or bypass channels quickly and stick with between station fuzz, or any mixture of all of this :)

go on, it could be fun :)
