The LIVE version will come
It's just taking a bit of time to get the conversion / software done.
I did approach Ableton - to see if they wanted to come in with us - but no reply as yet.

Trying to buy the synth but I'm getting an error:

BTW...nice news about M4L version! Is it going to be free for current customers?

Why not finally ruin the promise of your early directorial career by releasing what appears to be a big-budget remake of Mortal Kombat with the word 'Bender' in the title?

I was under the impression it was basically copy and paste into the Live Max environment, and then set up the interface (position knobs etc).room wrote:The LIVE version will come

Is it a little more involved in this case?

Excellent. I'm impressed with the demos and the UI looks great. If I buy the standalone now do I get the M4L version for free, or is it better to wait if my main use will be inside Live?

I can confirm the Live version is being worked on ....
The developer Chris is focussing on it and we hope to have it with you soon.
In order to cover our development costs I will be selling the live version as a separate purchase.
However, I am happy for a couple of Beta testers to come forward from here who have bought the standalone version - you can have it for free.
I understand jsterne is interested.

Chris Hipgrave has been working on developing an Appleton Live version of our top selling software - AMBIENT : http://www.audiobulb.com/create/Ambient/AB-Ambient.htm
However we have encountered a problem : With the LIVE version we think people will be able to see the 'insides' of the patch, meaning that they will essentially be able to copy/paste the code and replicate it.
Is there any way of resolving this issue so we can develop the patch whilst retaining our intellectual rights?

I'd post this on the M4L forum. My understanding of the whole point of Max/MSP is that people can go in and edit patches for their own purposes, which, while I love Ambient, I would love to be able to do once I learn some Max. Anyway, I think that's the main difference between M4L and a standard plugin format. I just looked "under the hood" of Density M4L and it appears that indeed I could edit it if I knew Max.

You can still retain your intellectual rights but even now, AMBIENT standalone version is not that difficult to replicate in Max/MSP.room wrote:

Furthermore, if people want to support a developer of ANY plug-in or daw they will pay for it otherwise all they have to do is google for 5 sec.
Nothing can protect you BUT you could earn more money with the M4L version...
