Excellent stuff.. great work on the solo my good sir. It *reminds* me of The Piano a tad and that is COMPLETELY OK. Where's the album?

Post

well this one is more active in terms of "lots of notes" like most of "The Piano" (i assume you the Michael Nyman score to the film, which yes is definitely not a bad thing. One of favorite "minimalist" composers. Gattica score is also excellent!)

Absolutely, that one. It's not that the piece as a whole recalled it. It was just some of the parts which triggered the memory.

Haven't heard but will now.

It's raining here today. It's warm indoors but this definitely gave chills. Seriously man, where's the album? And have you heard young Nils Frahm's stuff? He is my current favourite for the more minimal side. Also, really like your melodies which maintain interest and the false delays toward the end of the piece. Nice

You all know those plastic tubes one can get in a toy shop . - when you turn them one can play harmonics/overtones - I made some recordings of this today for an upcoming soundset, sometimes hitting the 2 tubes against each other, or against my head (not on purpose) or something else - here is a sample processed with B2:

Just tried using the Paypal shop with the coupon code but the Paypal shop doesn't tell me what I'm actually paying so I had to abort.

Did you try to login to your account, then use "add to cart" and before you even reach paypal you enter the coupon code.

I don't know the exact name they are called, but Whirly tube toy gave me these images, and I think he is reffering to these :?:

You swing them around in a circular motion at various speeds and they make pitched drone sounds, depending on how fast they are swung. It's akin to the sound Mick in the Crocodile Dundee movie makes when he swings that Australian boomerang thing around to send an auditory signal to his friends that are held captive :hihi:

Yes that all went fine but there should be a summary page to review what you are paying on Paypal before you hit the pay button but it doesn't contain any information about what you are paying.

Yes, thank you for the pic/vid - that's exactly what it is - in fact they not only make drone sounds but play the perfect natural harmonics of the root note which depends on how long the tube is. You can tune them by shortening them. It's hard to get beyond the 4th or 5th harmonic, it needs a lot of strength and power to get high notes, and watch those mic stands and precious mics as well when recording :)

But that info is on the checkout page at 2C Audio - at least I saw the price I had to pay before entering paypal and within paypal I didn't see that info either.

This fall I hope actually... I have enough piano material for several albums in fact... Of course practicing it all enough to do a real tour is kinda hard while running two companies and playing with math etc...

No. I will check him out. Thanks. Lately i'v been liking: Ludovico Einaudi
