I wouldn't want to thats for sure. A lot of people were asking them to develop some sort of plugin support. I am glad they delivered.Tronam wrote: That's a long time and I have a hard time believing there are many current heavy users of Reason who would truly want to go back to that kind of development pace, especially nowadays.
So the Propellerhead's forum is down. Post in here if you normally post there.

I'm on a planet where companies go, and stay, where the money is. And when they release a product that was very successful they...............get ready, this might be a tough idea for you to grasp................release more!krucial wrote:SDK limitations, working on other projects, updating VSTs? Are you serious?
Are you expecting devs to be releasing quality REs every few months? What planet are are you on?
But who said every few months, kid? Most of the examples I posted were from devs who haven't released a rack extension in over a year.
Your "logic" implies that everybody's still in the game, and that's just not the case, as there would be more rack extensions in the shop by now.
But that's cool news about Rob Papen.
Now what about Sonic Charge, iZotope, G-Force, and Synapse?

Are you forgetting just how young the rack extension format actually is? Reason 6.5 was released last summer. Here are the REs that Propellerhead have released in the past year and a half:MachineClaw wrote:For me all that means I just watch what Props develop for REs and the Props have been pretty slow in developing their own REs.
Audiomatic
Parsec
Polar
Pulsar
PX7
Radical Keys
Radical Piano
Rotor
That's slow? Thor alone was 5 years in the making and remember when it took the VST format 3 years to even accept incoming MIDI? I realize that isn't a fair observation considering this was back in the late 90s, but that standard is in its 17th year now and I'd say RE has done fairly well considering its relative youth. It's not without its limitations still, but it is by no means a failure.

I did not imply anything I ask questions. Again go and carefully read and comprehend my post.

There are also new REs coming out soon from Audiorealism, McDSP and a few others that are in "secret" beta at the moment. Not sure about SonicCharge, although Magnus has had a close relationship with the Props for years. He developed Malstrom after all, but he's pretty secretive about upcoming projects and has apparently been buried in 64-bit VST/AU porting lately. I wonder how many cumulative developer hours have been spent converting plugins to 64-bit and AAX over the past year?stroker_ace wrote:Your "logic" implies that everybody's still in the game, and that's just not the case, as there would be more rack extensions in the shop by now.

Parsec sounds more than great to me. I have managed to keep my GAS concentrated on iPad Apps this year but the Parsec demo keeps whispering sweet things in my ear. Don't know how long I can resist it. However 99 Euro is a big sum of money if you just have bought an iPad mini. My wife wouldn't understand.TheoM wrote:
Antidote and Parsec are amazing.

As you say, that isn't really a fair comparison. Back then the whole idea about audio plugins was new to everybody. RE also lean on the experience from 17 years of vst plugins/development.Tronam wrote:and remember when it took the VST format 3 years to even accept incoming MIDI? I do however agree with you that it is a good thing that PH have released a bunch of good quality RE's over the last year. Reason has gotten a lot more vibrant the last year and half. I just hope it doesn't affect updates on Reason itself. It still lacks a few crucial things.

Thanks for the intelligent, detailed answer; it's a nice change of pace.Tronam wrote:There are also new REs coming out soon from Audiorealism, McDSP and a few others that are in "secret" beta at the moment. Now what about Sonic Charge, iZotope, G-Force, and Synapse? It's true there's been nothing new from Synapse lately, but Richard has been good about updating and adding new features to Antidote this year and I suspect he's preoccupied with finishing Dune2 at the moment. Haven't heard anything about G-Force or iZotope. Either they've lost interest or are waiting for SDK updates. Most of iZotope's modern interfaces wouldn't be possible in the rack right now.

That's just the monitoring button, click it to turn it off. Hopefully not misunderstanding the question.C+C+ wrote:Any PUF members here ? I got a small trouble with my soundcard (laptop)

Under Preferences>Audio>Monitoring in Reason, select "Manual" instead of Automatic. This will make sure that any new audio track that you create will not be set to monitoring automatically.C+C+ wrote:Any PUF members here ? I got a small trouble with my soundcard (laptop)
