I used Reaper v5.40. As for FX, I used the ones that camewith the synth, no others. I used the synth on three different instances and have distinctly different sounds. :)

So here's my first try in a One Synth Challenge.

This was a hard one. But i love how you always find sounds by accident on these FM thingies :)
The kick wouldn't have been possible if the programmer didn't emulate the shitty DAC of this chip with it's aliasing so "well". So, thanks for that :D
And sorry for that DX E-Piano, but I just couldn't resist... I mean, it's a FM Synth, isn't it? You have to do that with FM Synths. Thats FM law. ;)

*Edit
Just noticed I forgot to follow the correct naming protocol on soundcloud - failed to say my name in the track title.Should I re-upload and correct or is it OK?
**Now I noticed can just change it on SoundCloud without re-uploading anyway :dog:

Switched to Reaper from Renoise for this one. Still getting used to Reaper though. Had some issue with ReaComp... I think I got the hang of it int the end.

I suppose it's a little late to be getting around to trying to finishing my track now, but what the hell, I've still got a few hours left.

I'm never entering again because I don't like the voting results!
Oh the voting hasn't started yet.
Oh I haven't even entered yet.
I'm terrible at this.

Ok here's my Taron Sandwich.
I would've called it that, but it didn't seem to fit.

Dunno what you guys used this month, but I was using this
Image

Ok, ok I confess I failed to map those assets to the controls. I'm no pro dev yet but somedayyyy... Yeah the colors are a still a little squirelly too, I made the whole thing from scratch with f.lux on 8)

Until then, if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be glad to skin this or assist with those vector or raster uh, I believe the technical term is, thingees.

Oh about the track, right..
8x VST2413S used for all sounds.
Mix: A couple ReaXComps, one of Magnus' Reverb & Delay each in a bus, a low shelf on the hat.
Master: A ReaXComp, a couple MEqualizers, basically one is a side hpf and high shelf and the other is a hpf, lpf, bass boost, into tls maximizer, and a limiter no6 for the ISP.
ReaControlMidis were used to make the pitch envelopes on the kick and snare for a lot of reasons.
Overall was fun

You're using easily some of the best plugins. Great choices.

Did you use a mulab limiter or something?

MLimiter is not really a limiter, it's an excellent saturator providing control over both odd and even harmonics.

Thankfully, in Melda's recent update to version 11, they now have excellent skins and finally MLimiter is now called MSaturator.

I highly recommend downloading the huge update - they also added auto-gain matching, ratio-mixing tools, and MCompressor has gained a crucial auxiliary sidechain input (and will probably become my default sidechain compressor).

That reminds me to mention I had one MCompressor sidechain on the reverb return and the non-drum bus (which also contained the delay return), but I still ended up using 2 sidechain ReaComps instead, because I was in a rush.

OMG some pretty amazing submissions this time. :hyper:
I wonder if there is still some time to do slight mixing adjustments.
