There will eventually be native installers from Plugin Alliance for SpecOps and Zip 1.0.1. They haven't given me a release date yet but I will forward this thread to them.

Why don't they take the independent route and manage their own things themselves? I don't understand, and PA probably even take a good slice of the cake, money wise
Ummm, because Plugin Alliance provide a suite of services and opportunities for Unfiltered Audio that would be difficult for their small team to handle themselves (army of testers, accounting, taxes, distribution, promotion, multiple platforms/architectures, etc).

So far the partnership/alliance has been working out well. Unfiltered has been releasing better and more complex products since they teamed up. Check the threads here and elsewhere: bugs and issues (note they are quite rare!) that we discover have always been identified and addressed by their team of testers and software updates before we post them.

Yes, butt plugin managers suck. So far my experience with Plugin Alliance is if you send them a message telling them what you dislike they typically respond with "you're right, we won't do that again, sorry". Meaning they listen. But they can only control one half of the communication process. It's up to you to show the same courtesy and listen to what they have to say before jumping to conclusions. From my experience they deserve the benefit of the doubt, not doubt about their motives.

I'm not anti-PA BTW. Just like things simple (like a .zip file with a .dll inside).

I get the impression that UA are really more into the technical and creative side of plugin development but not too hot on the marketing side of things. Joining up with PA has almost certainly gained them a lot more exposure and allowed them to concentrate on doing what they are good at.

Wow, so much BS! :x

Just used PA manager to download my plugins and they're not even latest version! Fault is 1.0 instead of 1.1! What's the point of using a manager if it's not even downloading the latest version of plugins!

ok, the redraw problem (modulators appearing in the central display) is still present in SpecOps 1.0.1. (was also present in the 1.0 demo)

Will this be fixed in the next version?

I'm sure I'm not the only one with those visual glitches? Anyone/dev?

Just to be clear on what's the problem: part of the UI (mainly modulators) is flashing/glitching in the central spectrograph.

System: Win 10 x64 in Bitwig and Reaper. OGL disable since even with a GTX 1080ti enabling OGL seems to boost CPU usage to almost 40% (instead of 4%) when UI is open for whatever reason (hope this will be fixed soon too).

:dog:

Me too, just downloaded everything via the manager the other day to make sure I was all up to date.

Guess its pointless and better to download the individuals.

Add to the list G8 v1.30 in the manager and 1.3.1 on the site
Just installed 1.3.1 and is still showing as 1.30 in the About window.

I love SpecOps, I find myself using it often as kind of harmonics generator for percussions...
