Just to clarify, VST3 was not in the original release (v1) but was added for v1.0.2, which is available to download from the Eventide site.SJ_Digriz wrote:You must have missed something, I have the vst3 version installed.Keith99 wrote:yeh uis Cabase users could do with a vst3 option

Quick one to add on the wantlist:
Double-click reset the band to default/0.0 maybe, anyone?

FYI: it doesn't require an actual iLok dongle, only an iLok account. It can be authorized via software.Lesha wrote:Too bad this thing requires iLok to run, seems like a great piece of software.

Yes, I am aware of that. But I don't want any kind of crapware running as a background process.audionewsroom wrote:FYI: it doesn't require an actual iLok dongle, only an iLok account. Yes - the greedy thing needs 2.4mb ram here - can you imagine you had a few hundred of those running? You might even notice it affecting your computer's performance...
Those anti-pace guys are just smart and reasonable.

While it may not use much RAM, it certainly uses some amount of CPU power for "synchronization" or whatever checks it is applying. Multiply that with any amount of iLok "protected" plugins you use. Another concern is privacy and how willing you are to trust this company.jens wrote:Yes - the greedy thing Needs 2.4mb ram - can you imagine you have a few hundred of those running? Then, there is an annual $30 subscription fee for ZDT, and $25 license transfer fee. Not to mention these things can be broken, lost or stolen. To be honest, I would rather use C/R than iLok and it has been shown to cause a lot of headache in the past, while being cracked repeatedly.
While your argument could be in favor of convenience, no "smart" or "convenient" system will persuade me to use this kind of protection.
Sorry everyone for being off topic, but I just thought it is a shame that people like me can not use this free plugin (atm) because of the copy protection. Once again, it seems to be a great piece of software engineering.

EQuivocate 1.0.5 is now available which fixes some OpenGL rendering issues, and allows you to turn off OpenGL entirely if needed. If you were experiencing extreme CPU load, or sliders that don't show up, release 1.0.5 should fix your problems.
Also, thank you to the guys from Unfiltered Audio who gave me a heads up on their method for deactivating OpenGL rendering. You guys should know that most of the people making this gear are just great people.

If I were a smarter man, I would probably start an anti iLok coalition website, where
I could accept donations with which to buy equipment and all the iLok protected software.
Then, I might actively research 'exactly' how detrimental the system really is, with the goal
of publishing the results in a handy e-book.
There would also be anti-iLok T-shirts...

At the moment shift-option-click will return the band to 0.0 dB. However, I have a feature request to make this a standard option-click.Neon Breath wrote:Quick one to add on the wantlist:

Then please don't. iLok rants are nothing new here. Go start a thread about it and you will find that many of us just find your comments irritating. We're not waiting for you to show us the light.Lesha wrote: Sorry everyone for being off topic,
It is great software, and you can use it if you want to. It's a choice on your part to not use iLok. If you choose not to use iLok then this is not a freebie for you. This is no different than if someone has a mac only freebie and you're on a PC, yep, you can't use that either unless you buy a mac.but I just thought it is a shame that people like me can not use this free plugin (atm) because of the copy protection. What's really a shame is that people like you can't resist whining in every f**king iLok plugin thread about how you don't like iLok.
