A custom Aparillo unison patch with a custom scale, morphing through the settings on the Orbit-page.

Simon, unless you're moving the Orbit by hand, how are you able to get multiple points like that? Everything I try, I'm only able to get two points.Sampleconstruct wrote:A custom Aparillo unison patch with a custom scale, morphing through the settings on the Orbit-page.

Just increase/decrease the "Radius" in each point and group them together to taste on the screen.wagtunes wrote:Simon, unless you're moving the Orbit by hand, how are you able to get multiple points like that? That is silly, isn't it? Needs a fix.Sampleconstruct wrote:Why doesn't the delay have also dotted synced values, only triplets and straight values are possible?

Thanks Simon. I finally figured out how to use this thing. I would venture to say that you could probably make a thousand patches for this and still only scratch the surface.Sampleconstruct wrote:Just increase/decrease the "Radius" in each point and group them together to taste on the screen.wagtunes wrote:Simon, unless you're moving the Orbit by hand, how are you able to get multiple points like that? THE one feature I would love to have is the ability to save your own scales in the Scale Editor Menu. While you can tweak the existing factory scales and also copy and paste things, it would be great to have your own "user definable tables" archived for easy access. I do a lot of wacky things with exotic scales and this would make things a lot smoother. Right now, I'm basically just saving a bunch of presets to a specific folder in order to keep them on-hand.

you‘re on spot with this. would you believe that aparillo was planned to take you further by limitations? in the building process I gave up some of them, and some things mutated a lot, like the envelopes which allow for 16 partials in a modal percussive sound for pretty materials.
the user scales would need a preset system, I felt that, but here I kept the limitation, did not want to build a leviathan.
after a while, we will add features. now its time to rest. thank you for all the kind words.

This thing rocks big time. I think I'm in experimental heaven.Sugar Bytes wrote:you‘re on spot with this. would you believe that aparillo was planned to take you further by limitations? in the building process I gave up some of them, and some things mutated a lot, like the envelopes which allow for 16 partials in a modal percussive sound for pretty materials.

hey wag, in key recorder mode, each key on your keyboard can be a breakpoint with travel time (orb speed).
in mouse recorder mode, it will record your mouse movement for the selected record time (1 to 32 bars).
and believe it or not, we are still looking for solutions for a wavetable maker for factory.

Thanks. I actually figured out how to use the Orbiter. That thing is off the wall crazy. Absolutely my synth purchase of the year, though I probably should have waited to announce that LOL.Sugar Bytes wrote:hey wag, in key recorder mode, each key on your keyboard can be a breakpoint with travel time (orb speed).

Ugh.. just bought Diversion and Thorn on sale.. now, I really need this.
Gonna be an expensive holiday.
I do a lot of cinematic styled music, and I think Aparillo could take the place of a lot of the sound effects libraries I'm currently using (impacts, risers, sweeps, etc..). The added bonus being that the sounds I design with it, would be totally unique.
Wish there were a couple more Operators, for a fuller sound in some circumstances.. but it's amazing what it can do with only two. And.. I own (and really like) FM8, but it's just too overwhelming for me to program. So Aparillo might be an easier solution, for those cinematic FX I need.
I usually wait for sales on stuff.. but prolly won't be able to wait on this one.
Gonna be eating a lot of Ramen this season.

Does the morphing get recorded to automation by a host?

It's great fun to drive Aparillo with a sequencer that has a latch-mode,
or a synth with midi out. Lower the bpm quite a bit, and let new Aparillo experiments
start filling in the blanks. There should be a script in Aparillo that snorts for the daw's
record button, and presses it magically, so no accidental brilliance gets lost.
Now to watch some videos!
Maybe a modest latchable sequencer could be added to V2?
Cheers
