It's been a long time since the last time that I thought of the BCF/BCR things.
Life is such that the options that one take on his becoming don't always actualize, like f.e. becoming a hardcore BCF/BCR user...
Mine are lying there taking dust on my daw dusktop...

Well but there were these weblinks about BCF/BCR presets and templates, and halas they are down for audioshots.com has deleted them.
And here I come back with a backup of the site, which I give to anyone who wants to reup the links and administrate the site again, or get its content at least.

I do this today because today for a quite long time indeed I loged in on kvr and checked my message box, where I found several almost desperate ones about these files...

When I bought first the BCR it was a quite new product ; I was still using Logic Audio, and at this time I had absolutely no idea about how to connect its knobs to my vstis. This is how the site started : a generous move to ask around how to handle the beast! Then I found it out by myself finally, and hosted presets. It debuted as a raw html white page, but someone here at kvr gently contacted me with a nice deep blue "coat of paint" and great enhancements in the html code : voilà!

I'm afraid all of these files are old now, but still, if they can help someone to set up a BCR with FruityLoops, Live, SX, or even Logic Audio... they're always good!

andiw wrote:Hi,

I made a little tutorial for using the BCR with Cubase 4.1. It's in german language but I think anybody who knows the subject just needs the link to the sysex-file. I made an overlay (pdf) too that you can print out and there you can see the mapping of the encoders and knobs. So here's the link: http://witez.blogspot.com

Andreas, it is looking good on your blog page.
Maybe in stead of sticking on your bcr, just print it on normal paper and then laminate it, so you'll have a plastic version of it. Cut out the holes and then lay it on the bcr.
So you don't make your bcr sticky when using a print on sticker paper.

see ya.

@muzik4machines
And your bcr does work normal using usb? (when you are making music)?
Cause with me it was the bcr, alltough all seemed to point at an driver issue it really was my bcr.
And thanks to Behringer they replaced it gratefully by a brandnew one, even it was allready out of warranty.
So behringer has a really great service in my opinion.
So maybe you should contact behringer about the usb issue.

You can also try to reach your bcr by midi as you know.
If it the works, it is not the editor but you bcr.

best to you.

Wich editor are u talking about anyway? the behringer editor?
A guy called himself birdie has made an editor for the bcr a few years ago not using java.
The behringer editor does need an old version of java, you can check that on the behringer site.

still waiting approval on this one, not a lot for mac editor neither, i finally spent 5 hours programming it by hand to control my Motu Midi Mixer 7s

just 1 bad point to the device, knobs can only send 1 CC at a time, i would have liked the option to send 2 (stereo aux send with a cc for lefr and 1 for right here)

the editor is made on this version of java j2re-1_4_2_05 and is only working correct with that version.
So i know it is shit this editor, because as soon ase u update your java it don't work no more.
And Behringer is not making a new editor they told me cause i asked for it (altough this is still the beta version) there will never be a stable.
But they are still selling the bcr and recently a new white coloured one) if u want more software support better buy an other brand.
