Funny i should mention that then!
They advertise it as such. They try to make it sound like an analog console. If you bypass all their channel strips it will not color either...
Reason is an emulation of an SSL desk, ain't it?

cheers for explaining monster cables
only if you turn on the mixer EQ or comp/gate modules. the sound passing through reason's mixer itself is uncolored and clean, as has been borne out many many times in strict testing. Just like Bitwig. or any of the others.

I read somewhere on the web, that it's ok to go into the red when using Reason because the Reason mixer is an emulation of an SSL desk. Can you tell me is that true or false? Thanks.
Actually what it is in Reason (sorry if this has already been answered, haven't read past your comment yet) is you shouldn't necessarily be alarmed if the individual channels go into the red. It's only a problem if it is (use your ears) clipping. The main concern is the Master Output going into the red I think. It's in one of Ryan Harlin's video's on You Tube:-

1/ This video contradicts what's already been said. I don't know who to trust/believe.

2/ I don't use Reason anymore. I use Bitwig. Is this video true for also Bitwig?

I'm not sure if it applies to Bitwig but I'd guess it did but I'd trust Ryan's video myself.

Yes, in a sense that you can technically not clip tracks, but obviously you need to pay attantion to what's happening on the Master.

I never really had to worry about that - by default Bitwig applies -10dB on each track and I also try to be conservative with my levels inside the chains and out of the track, so I usually need to boost the signal sonsiderably (6-18dB) before / inside the mastering chain anyway.

You cant clip channels in any DAW, unless it is designed in some crazy esoteric way, master is the only place that can clip.
Duh
