I'm just saying release of this particular product triggered that whole discussion, so we already know about it

As both an experienced musician and producer, I am happy for all of the tools that make my life easier. Would these have been nice 20 years ago? Absolutely. Does this enable more non-musicians to enter an oversaturated musical market? Absolutely. Is that a good thing? That is the part that becomes opinion.
When Reason 12 and Reason+ were introduced, I was sad to see Suite go away (and I still am). When I upgraded to Reason 12, it would have been nice to see so many new tools added into a complete type of bundle. Instead I look for sales and introductory offers on the new RE's to ease my pain.
If I had never been a Reason Suite user, I would have dove on Reason+. My nephew in college has Reason+ since he can hardly afford a beer with his pizza and he loves it.
I am going to demo BassLine Generator soon and see if it fits in with any of my projects.

Their little psychological marketing tricks these days are so bad...

Right? I'd love to listen in to a call where they agreed this "promo" was a good idea and something that'd show their customers appreciation. Perhaps it's a good initiative to those who only tried R+ and got back to their other DAW, but I f**ing have the license already! If I haven't extended the sub, it means I really didn't liked it or at least felt there's no value for me in it (yet)jens wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 3:50 pm Their little psychological marketing tricks these days are so bad...and bad taste

I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I struggle more and more with each passing week...

I gave Propellerheads the benefit of the doubt for 4 years in a row. That ended 3 years ago. In fairness I got my moneys worth buying only the best stuff every few years since R3.
It's worth repeating -- Reason Studios is a company you "put up with" as a means to an end, not one you admire or trust. When it comes to propellerheads, one should pay only for what is right in front of them at present if they find value in it.

Have you tried Vital?

Has anyone had success using jBridge in Reason 12?
To give clarity to my problem...32 bit vsts in jBridge load...but just without GUI...meaning I cannot do anything with them.

Running Reason plug-in in Bitwig for me is way better than using Reason app. I know you love Reason but why would you prefer Reason DAW vs BWS-RS plug-in combo?antic604 wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 5:23 pmRight? Just curious because you seem to know BWS to a good extent allowing you to make the best out of the combo
I used to run Reason in Live, long ago, in Rewire mode (painfully), and when the Reason Plug-in came out, it opened up real power for me in Live.
But now running it in BWS there are no limits actually….

Rack running inside of Reason is much more powerful than it is as a plugin, e.g. you can route audio, midi and CV between "tracks". Also all the pattern devices work much better with Reason, because it has dedicated pattern tracks. And I love the interaction / interplay of Reason's rack, sequencer and mixer - it just makes sense to me, the way no other DAW does IMO.Biscotto wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 3:55 pmRunning Reason plug-in in Bitwig for me is way better than using Reason app. I know you love Reason but why would you prefer Reason DAW vs BWS-RS plug-in combo?

Also, when I'm in Bitwig I try to be 100% native because I can. In other DAWs - except for Reason - I feel like I'm limited, but in Bitwig I feel like I can do everything and being able to save my projects to Google Drive and open them anywhere with just Bitwig is a huge benefit.
And well, I'm weird

I guess you love cables! I remember when I got rid of all my hardware and, finally, I was cables free!!!antic604 wrote: Fri Dec 24, 2021 7:23 pmRack running inside of Reason is much more powerful than it is as a plugin, e.g. you can route audio, midi and CV between "tracks". Right now I’m just using the Players.
I love VCV though.
Antic weird? In today’s world it’s a good thing.
