Aha! Okay, the input box is for selecting the folder, not the individual `.nki` file!

Just found this nice tool and tried to convert an NKI into DecentSampler format, analysing the folder returns this:

pjcohen standup bass/pjcohen standup bass.nki
Detected Kontakt Container format (created with Kontakt 5.6.6.16) - Little-Endian.
Unknown file list segment type: 106

Any idea?

This should be fixed in the next update (hopefully soon). If not please report again.

Fixed: Loops could be incorrect if sample rate was not 44.1kHz and audio file metadata could be wrong as well in that case.
Korg KMP/KSF
- New: Convert source samples to support bit resolutions (8, 16) and maximum sample rate of 44.1kHz.
- Fixed: Improved check for duplicated DOS file names and unique ones are now created.
Kontakt - Reading
- New: Kontakt 2-4 monoliths in big-endian encoding are now supported.
- New: Added support for alternative Kontakt 1 file-ex sample path reference.

- Improved: Finding samples when absolute sample file paths are used.
- Fixed: Fixed several issues with Kontakt 2-4 monoliths.
- Fixed: NCW files with mid/side encoding were not handled correctly.

With Kontakt 1, it now finds the paths and creates the sample folders, and it works great as long as the NKI is in the same folder as the samples. However, if the NKI is in a different folder, the samples won't be added to the newly created sample folder. Copying them there manually afterwards doesn't work.

Is it possible to create SFZ's that use the original NKI sample folder? For example, if I have an NKI with a separate samples folder, can an SFZ be created that simply uses the NKI's sample folder and samples? As it is now, I end up with two separate sample folders and double to hard drive space used.

Analyzing: .../pjcohen standup bass/pjcohen standup bass Samples/pjcohen standup bass.nki
Data is larger than 4GB and cannot be read.

The folder is just around 78MB, so looks like something else must cause the issue.

I sadly killed Kontakt 5-7 reading in this update. Hope to have a fix later today!

It works fine with the (few) K1 files I have. Can you send me the file to check (PM me)?

The hotfix 7.1.1 is available since 7.1.0 broke something:

Kontakt - Reading
- Fixed: Regression from 7.1.0 - Kontakt 5-7 files could not be read at all.
- Fixed: Kontakt 5-7 relative paths can contain redirections to parent directories which were not added.
- Fixed: Support for Kontakt 2 files which contain an XML document with a leading UTF-BOM.

Congratulations for your brave hard and good work!
I wonder if you plan to add EXS format to the conversion list?

I think there are a lot of people ( like me) that uses Mainstage to sample so we got a lot of sounds that could be nice to convert to other formats..
