ok, lol, maybe time for this thread to end. 12 pages of insanity (plus my own posts). but it did make me laugh out loud (at my own posts), and i proved that chuck d was right: 'how low can you go".......

You even got Urs to play along for a bit I'd say this was a well done thread!fisherKing wrote: Sat Jan 07, 2023 3:05 am ok, lol, maybe time for this thread to end. 12 pages of insanity (plus my own posts). but it did make me laugh out loud (at my own posts), and i proved that chuck d was right: 'how low can you go".......

Ok you caught me. But the Retro-Encabulator isn't as encabulative as the Retro-Encabulator, surely you can see this. That thing lays down the smoothest layer of vegemite this side of the River Murray.wwjd wrote: Sat Jan 07, 2023 1:37 amI was in an alternate timeline multiverse, you quantum travel denier.VitaminD wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 11:54 pmHah, nice try there, time-travel imposter! But we all know there is no Hive 42 in the future. Only Hive 2. And it's also well known that Hive 2 sounds better than all versions of Hive 2. Past or present.wwjd wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 11:31 pm k, I just got back from the future, using the newly developed quantum string electron cloud compression/decompression instance*, and I can state that in the future, testing the HIVE 42 in demo mode, that it sounds just as amazing and CAN BE exactly identical to current HIVE 2. But, it has a lot more interesting options also.
* this process has left me with a permanent tinnitus ringing in both ears around 8,000 hz, and I don't recommend doing it.
But what some might not know is if you use enough frames of the Hive2 wavetables and apply the spectral interpolator, you can make the waveform smooth enough to spread on bread and eat. Smoother than Nutella.
Yes, the spectral interpolator is VERY smooth, but the musician-otcopoids in 9724 prefer the more robust Retro-Encabulator for their smoother, more flavorful audio tracks.

And you're just saying that you want to end this thread because you don't want to admit your copy of Hive2 doesn't sound as pleasing as my copy of Hive2.
(In more seriousness, I'm not sure what you mean by your chuck d quote. But I wasn't mocking anyone with my posts here, just sharing silly, lighthearted, odd humor with you guys. I'm not into mocking folks so I hope that wasn't the basis for this thread

Indeed, nobody’s supposed to reveal it if he wants his stuffed dog to stay alive, but serial number drastically changes the sound of the plugin. And we all know it. All but me.
Well, anyway, no Hive2 sounds like another Hive2.
Comparison is futile.
Hive2’s sound variety is virtually unlimited.
It’s only limited by the number of copies known to man, your own imagination, the potential parallel universes serial numbers, and my own willingness as I’m writing this bulls#it.

Hah. Except my license is much earlier than yours. This is important as Urs included more sparkles from his Uhnicorn in the earlier licenses. The sparkles give more enhancement to the sound.DJErmac wrote: Sat Jan 07, 2023 4:53 amFinally someone who dares...VitaminD wrote: Sat Jan 07, 2023 4:01 am And you're just saying that you want to end this thread because you don't want to admit your copy of Hive2 doesn't sound as pleasing as my copy of Hive2.![]()

So it is mathemagically provable that the sound in my Hive2 is better than yours.

I really did Hive2 vs Hive2 today by comparing different sampling rates and buffer sizes.

OK, Hive2 really sounded different from Hive2.

interesting (but am sure i figured it out): first is hive2, second is hive2, and the third is a zen example (so, both hive2 and not hive2). hive2 definitely sounds best of the 3DNnX wrote: Sat Jan 07, 2023 7:45 am I really did Hive2 vs Hive2 today by comparing different sampling rates and buffer sizes.

I'm a little surprised the debate is still occurring (because the evidence seems clear Hive2 is definitely better than Hive2), but can understand since this is such an important life topic!

PS I have noticed that HIVE 2 sounds COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, NOT EVEN CLOSE to HIVE 2 when I run one of them on an HDR monitor color space instead of the normal color space, in Windows 10. Maybe this will help someone in the future.

Everybody loves Hive 2... wait until you have to use 20+ instances in a project and the ram usage goes straight to the roof. Is impossible to work with it. I simply replaced it with Hive 2 in, way way lower ram usage
