Probably Reaper with some scripts? ? ?
Reaper can do anything so it doesn't count. Heck there are users who made Reaper video games (I'm not kidding about that).
It would be more imprressive if, say, Live clips flashed on and off in different colors akin to lights on a christmas tree. That's not changing themes but still.
Reaper is its own animal, you’re right. I’m thinking about Live and M4L to change themes…. I’ll dig it.

I immediately think of some nutjob writing a script that has Reaper changing theme every 30 seconds!
 I can see it coming, but it will be on the beat!

A Great idea, in theory..... But you better make sure you have the Pro versions of both Bitwig ( Maybe available in Producer edition?) and S1 in order to save the actual dawproject file!

My vision is a kind of github for music creation. I think this gets us a little bit closer. Dawproject is text-based, which means it's diffable and suitable for version control.

Moss released a free project converter that allows Reaper users to convert via DAW Project so that Bitwig, Studio One and Reaper all interchange!

This should've happened decades ago.

This is great 👍 I might end up using Bitwig and Reaper in Windows.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

It would be amazing if Logic, PT, DP, and Live all jumped aboard.

I'm using Live to collaborate recently and freezing tracks we don't share works really well. I wonder how hard a feature like that would be to implement into DAWproject? because that would eliminate the issue of embedded instruments and having to have all the same plugins in collaborations.

As game changing as CLAP has turned out to be, thus far.

"Notifications for Nothing" are annoying. Blocking me in return is a good way to avoid this.

It's an odd term. It's always within a context. There's absolutely nothing that could happen in a DAW that would matter to the vast majority of the human race.

CLAP has been game changing for me. For someone else, it's completely inconsequential.

If you use Bitwig (or Reaper), you can check the CLAP version of some plugins. Personally, I use the CLAP format if available in Bitwig (like Vital).

For DAWproject, I'm going to check the new tool of MOSS. However, I can almost be sure that Reaper would support this format. So that, I'm refreshing my memory and customizing Reaper. I'm watching some Kenny's videos.

This combo (Bitwig and Reaper) is a killer ;) Bitwig is my main DAW, but Reaper has a better mixing environment. I'm almost gave up on S1 and Cubase in Windows (which is my main computer). On Mac, I have Logic in addition to Bitwig, so I'm good there but I treat my mac as a backup machine, so not use it as much.

I'm kind of almost crying right now, this is so great. I have a bunch of old Reaper projects I'd like to rework a bit, but feel really reluctant to go back to Reaper. I've been pondering about this for years, and almost started the gargantuan work of reinstalling Reaper, a ton of plugins, etc etc... I would be happy just to get the audio clips and notes in place even, but if some plugins can bring presets and automation, that's even better.

The same goes for EnergyXT, I wiiiiish someone could write a similar kind of script so I could salvage some old projects...

We're talking about a much bigger picture than "how that one person in a thread on KVR feels."

Well that's a self serving arrogant response! no surprises there.

VST 3 took over 15 years to be adopted, it's universally hated by developers, it has the backing of Steinberg sure, but CLAP has a few things going for it, namely it's not hated by developers. The reluctance to code for it isn't based on it being difficult but rather on whether or not the time is worth it.

I would say without a doubt to me personally that CLAP will win out if it manages to stick around, simply because an open standard has been needed for two plus decades. I could be wrong, but it's not worth being a dickhead to people on forums about it.
