bryansonic wrote: Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:06 am So is it just the colour and the font weight that is the problem at this resolution?
I guess so. Easier to read (thicker) fonts on monitors without scaling would be welcome.
Kick 2 also has small and thin fonts (not great) but they are at least sharp. If I resize Kick 3 to the dimensions of Kick 2 (I use it bigger btw), the font gets blurry due to, I guess anti-aliasing. Needs better fonts that can handle the small resolutions.
Yes the font but also the knob design with this small line is difficult on the eye. To have a confortable font size and sharpness I need a very large plugin window taking almost 4/3 of my 27" 2k display. I usually like smaller fonts sizes.

I'm use Win with 100% scaling.

Kick2 looks dated, but it's much easier on the eye and I can use a smaller plugin window to work with it.

You can move the start time with clicks… we have it on the feature list to also be able to have a delay.

steep upgrade price, you can get nearly a new kick plugin for it. im gonna wait for more comparisons to the other cooking plugins how they compete.

Kick Ninja about 60 bucks
Audija Kickdrum 22.50 bucks still (normally 45 bucks)
Kick 3 more than 80 bucks with conversions... what does kick 3 offer more than the other 2? and upgrade is over 30 bucks for old v2 users... wow.

Conversions?

I'm seeing $103.71 USD, which is pretty steep relative to the competition. And I already have Sublab XL, which I've never actually gotten around to using, as well as Kickshaper, InPhase for phase alignment, and plenty of very capable synths which can load samples and have nice kick drum presets ready to easily tweak.

But this is the last Kick plugin you'll ever need.

More like the last Kick Plugin you will ever buy.

This was one of my first questions when I originally bought Kick 2. It's completely possible and is a matter of eq or filter settings and fine-tuning the envelopes to taste, among other things. Here's a good example from Dash:

you are right, i set it wrong in my conversions. thats even more insane priced. i dunno how well supported Kick 2 is and Ana 2 but afaik these werent greatly supported after some time. well depends how much people support this price.

people talking how overpriced some synths are on the web and a kick plugin at that price especially the upgrade price is for me just unaccepted. well lets see how the other plugins are competing and im gonna jump on another one then, again as a kick 2 user and purchaser this is just ridiculous. :tu:

I don’t think the upgrade price is particularly egregious. 35 Euro for me.

The base price is a bit too rich though.

It does add a lot of functionality and it’s still my favourite kick plug-in by a long shot.

I dove in an upgraded. Feels much improved since whatever beta I tested.

The phase rotation feature is nice but I still find it easier to phase align simply by adding some "spare" nodes to the tail and adjusting length and curvature, you can get very granular using this method and in the sub regions, these adjustments really aren't audible as pitch changes.

Folks sry quick question - it is possible to preview (playback) layer directly from UI via mouse click ?
AFAIR in some youtube videos it seemed to me that people done that. But now when i install v3 plug i can't do this behavior. Clicking at layer header just produce focus at editor window for this layer (and double click produce opening browser for layer).

By other words, is there ability to preview sound from UI without midi note ? (For layer only or whole result, no matter).

Post

Is it possible to pre listen the sound without midi or using the DAW? Like on Battery, for ex?
