It is antique and super simple, even if you use a lot of x-lfo's and x-adsr's.bite_me wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 5:38 am Since Pigments 6 is out, my new Bass Station feels antique...![]()
But it's got a completely different sound and would be used for different things.
Variety.

You can download Pigments 6 from the website, not their software center. That's how I had to do it, and I'm able to use it now.Aloysius wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 12:45 pm They announced Pigmeats 6 in an email but all I see everyday is ... Very interesting sound, lots of character. Another VST "classic".
But GUI needs fixing. On all my machines, from Win7 to Win10/11, main window is laggy. Also, CPU usage increases. When I switch to Preset browser, everything is fine, CPU drops to zero and there's no lag.
Plugin crashes in ALL virtual machines, from Win7 to Win11, hosted on different physical machines, from Win7 to Win11. So it can't be me. There's something wrong with GUI. Possibly those animated parts, GForce didn't use that before.
It needs at least one update to be 100% usable.
The important thing is, VST evolution continues... We now have Virus TI2, NL2x, we have Blofeld, there will be Multi/Poly. It's spectacular!

Video by Thought-Forms, the pads @6:57 sounds surprisingly good to me. Still haven't tested the VST myself yet....
this 90s bass synth is now a VST...and it sounds great [Thought-Forms]

I would have bought this if it wasn't for the smudgy attack on the filter envelope. It's like it's set to a minimum of 80ms. You can really hear it in those arpeggio examples in the above video. Maybe it's accurate to the hardware, I don't know, but it would have been nice to have a 0ms attack option.

I noticed this on my Windows 7 machine too, figured it was just my obsolete OS, but apparently not.frag wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2025 8:27 am But GUI needs fixing. A well-behaved signature.

It may be obsolete, but GForce claims it's supported.JerGoertz wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2025 5:37 pmI noticed this on my Windows 7 machine too, figured it was just my obsolete OS, but apparently not.frag wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2025 8:27 am But GUI needs fixing. Anyway, I don't need fancy graphics - I need the sound! Some great synths don't run on Win7 anymore, only because of graphics. That's BS.
