The link works for me, but I guess it could be a regional thing? Weird. I need to get this fixed, though. Is there anywhere else I can get it hosted that is more stable? And then I guess I PM pHz and get his permission to edit my post?pheeleep wrote:Gregjazz, I tried to download yours but it says "cannot find server".

Very nice Gregjazz. I love old soul, motown, R&B etc.. and you really captured the feeling well here.
i think the tempo could have been a bit faster.. this is more like a ballad, but it's definitely making me bump my head..
On a side note, and speaking of Motown, I am going to see the Funk Brothers live in San Francisco at the end of the month. I can't wait!

Yeah, it's definitely not 137 disco.pheeleep wrote: i think the tempo could have been a bit faster.. this is more like a ballad, but it's definitely making me bump my head..
More of a slow groove. There's a little trick to put forwards motion in slow grooves though, is to take your drums and bass track and put them just a few ticks early. Otherwise it will tend to drag.
LUCKY!pheeleep wrote: On a side note, and speaking of Motown, I am going to see the Funk Brothers live in San Francisco at the end of the month. I can't wait!
Wow. Do you live near San Francisco?

Hi GregJazz,
I do live in San Francisco. The Funk Brothers are playing a free concert at Stern Grove ( in SF ), on July 24. Anyone in the area shouldn't miss this one. But go early! It gets very crowded ( it's outdoors in a beautiful park ). I am going at 10:00 am and the concert starts at 2:00pm.

Thanks alot for the comments liqih.
Gregjazz, this is one serious piece of music you've done. Superbly made.
Reminds me of "Baby Be Mine", which is the best Michael Jackson song ever IMHO.
