I just confirmed that Groove3 is not currently working on a Falcon tutorial - so maybe you should.

KEv, I had approached Groove3 also--I'm a fairly bigtime user--and got no info from them. Maybe you have an inside track... I had asked them about Alchemy 2 back when Logic 10.2 first came out, got the same noncommittal response, and then came a new set from Eli Krantzberg! So, is there possibly hope for us with Falcon? After all, they did have a set for MachFive 3... I'm not trying to steal thunder from Simon, as it were, but he does have his fingers in many pies, also as it were, so I really understand when he says he isn't sure he wants to invest the time. That being said, I would definitely invest in a tutorial series from him if he chose to produce one, whether Groove3 or AskAudio or anybody else came out with one or not...

How do i configure a parameter in ableton, seems this does not work?

I asked that here as well. Had to write to UVI and got this-

"You can assign any parameter from Falcon to host automation (right-click any license then go to 'Assign to Host automation'). By doing so, you will be able to use it in your Live project."

Have not tried it yet because I am running Live Beta 9.5.1b2 and Falcon 1.01 crashes it. Funny, Falcon 1.0 worked just fine. Might have to go back so I can keep testing the Beta.

There was a related thread about that here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 1&t=450844

This was my reply there concerning automation in Live:
Ingonator wrote: I had not checked automation with Falcon yet buit just tested it in Live 9.5 64-bit on Windows 10 64-bit.

Usually in lIve i add automations by activating the "Configure" button in the device panel and then add synth controls by moving them in the plugin. At the first try this did not work.

Then i found that you first have to define those controls in Falcon that should be available for host automation and the amount of automations are limited to 128.
To add a certain control/knob in Falcon to the list for host automation you should right-click that knob/switch, move the mopuse to "add to host automation" and add that knob/Switch to one of the 128 entries in the drop-down list that appears at that menu entry in Falcon.

Once a certain knob/switch is added to that list in Falcon it is also available for host automation, at least here in Live 9.

No inside track. I just approached them publicly on Twitter. It could be a case of wanting to keep their future releases secret so as not to tip off competitors. I do hope that someone comes out with a comprehensive set of Falcon tutorials, but do appreciate what others are doing in the interim.

I'd be very surprised if Groove3 had not been working on a tutorial for Falcon from the moment they laid eyes on it.

A Random S&H LFO with a frequency of 0.00 Hz has a wonderful unexpected result. (as applied to pitch, cutoff etc.)

:) Please - If this is a bug, do NOT fix it ! :)

For owners of Falcon, -just try it. Tweak the RISE parameter too.

Yeah that's a definite bug - an S&H at 0 Hz should only produce a new value on the next key press... this is not a good behaviour IMHO.

I apologize if this has been brought up before. I have followed much of this forum, but I just can't keep up with 100 pages of stuff for long.

I have been busy with programming Falcon and some things keep cropping up as difficulties for me. They have to deal with properties attached to lower level keygroups versus having things at a higher level.

One is the lack of changing parameters on all the keygroups at once. I have 66 keygroups, all identical except for the sample and velocity range. Why can't I edit their properties all at once? I am about to resort to manually editting the preset in a text editor.

Secondly, why not have a mapping editor on all the modulations?

Thirdly, why can't macros have their range assignments at the front-end. As it is now, a macro range can be changed, but it is on the end target (lowest level). For example, if I assign a macro to Sample Start and want to change it's range, I have to change it on all 66 keymaps instead of just once at the macro level. I know it is more flexible to have it at the lowest level - equivalent to having a potentiometer on an input control, but why not have it both ways - a potentiometer on the output of the control voltage as well? Or another way of looking at it is to have a gain on a bus send as well as having a trim on all the sends. Having it at the top level allows one change to affect everything at once.

Here is a picture to show a little of what I mean:
