Wasn't my day yesterday...

One big question:
Can I create bus and send automation inside a clip or can I do these kinds of automations just inside the arrangement? Or is there another possibility that these kinds of automations follow my arranging process of dragging&dropping clip groups from the arranger into the arrangement? This is really important for me, because I use alot of bus automation, as example a filter or the volume of a bus.
Would it help if I told you BW would NOT be out before Xmas?crazyfiltertweaker wrote:Is there any possibilty to help a curious fanboy with his two major questions, please?
Really, I must decide before christmas if bitwig or Ableton and I need the mentioned features for my producing workflow!
to rememeber the questions:

Thanks again Tom for your patience and time - i agree with the other posters above, BWS should hire you to do PR.ThomasHelzle wrote:There is no concept of bus vs. sends in BWS to my knowledge?crazyfiltertweaker wrote:One big question:

What you have is effect-tracks as they call it, same system as in Live, where it's called return track.
Each track has send levels to every existing effect track, again the same as in Live. And those can be automated the same as everything else, so it can be either clip or arrangement based.
I never tried what happens if you drag a clip from the clip launcher area with complex non-linear automation to the arrangement, but the alternative would be to just record it to the arrangement - in that case your resulting automation should be correct including non-linear automation like different-loop-lenghts etc.
"From the arranger to the arrangement" huh?
But my advise still stands: Try it out when it's released, only then you will know if it works for you.
Cheers,
Tom
You cannot buy Bitwig yet, so you really don't have this immediate choice that you think you do.crazyfiltertweaker wrote:How to relax without trying bitwig?
I have a decision to make, and these questions are the final ones, the final ones before the last boss(the decision for bitiwg or ableton), so please help me!
I really need the answers!
Bitwig may not even be available by christmas. And even if it is, it will likely have a variety of issues that will require some months of bug updates to address. That is how 1.0 releases of complex software go.crazyfiltertweaker wrote:

Woah, there is a good chance Bitwig will be out before christmas. Might as well wait and if it's not out by the time you need then go with Live. The Mantra wrote:Dude...crazyfiltertweaker wrote:

Just buy Live already.
No, thank you for being so uncommonly patient during the onslaught of "You gotta tell me everything I need to know right now or the world as I know it will cease to exist!!!!!" questions.ThomasHelzle wrote:And to everybody else: thanks a ton for your support and friendly feedback!

+1 - you are the best thing BW have going for them right now IMO.LawrenceF wrote:No, thank you for being so uncommonly patient during the onslaught of "You gotta tell me everything I need to know right now or the world as I know it will cease to exist!!!!!" questions.ThomasHelzle wrote:And to everybody else: thanks a ton for your support and friendly feedback!
