Go to the GB sign up page. There are audio demos for those multitrack kits at the top of the listening list: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... ode=USDKVR
ok...gotcha....thanks

the 3 gretsch kits sound different.....

here's a question......i really like the gretsch kit except for the snare (too much ring)...if i were to chose the multitrack version (highly likely) would i be able to swap out that snare for any of the others and it still be able to be used in multitrack mode ??
yeah the snare rings too much for me too, I was thinking of tuning it down and using less top mic and more bottom , but i dont' know how well that would work
oh and maybe a low pass filter ?
Just so you know, that snare is ringy but in a good way (in a Brufordy kind of way) but we also sampled OTHER snares that are lower and fatter. You can hear the Ayotte and RGC snare in the STm kits which are used in the Collins and Duke kits with Premier and Gretsch toms. If you like those but want them in Multitrack those snares will be available in a bundle soon. So you can add them into the Gretsch MT kit instead of filtering or tuning it down... just swap it out. That's the idea.
aaaah, ok...so we can only exchange a multi-track snare for another, yah ???....can we change it for the snare in the multitrack jb, for instance

and have you definitely decided to include the jb ??

i'm getting so excited....i have had this page open in my browser for hours...and since you have worked a way to spread the bandwidth i'm probably gonna get at least one kit up and running by lunchtime tomorrow....once i work out what's going on i'll slowly d'load the rest

are the key positions the same for each of the kits.....i mean if i set up my mod16 to access a standard set of articulations (bd, left/right snare, hats etc) will these fall on the same keys on all kits ??
Oh... that was a good post I did a million pages ago about iMap with the image. If anyone can find that we can put it in this thread for easy access: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 86#3917086
Yes, and actually also put it in this iMap thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=126552

I downloaded a copy of that new colored iMap image for regular use on my system. When you have time, Squids, you should get someone to add that image to the iMap reference page here: http://www.sonicreality.com/imap/

The color version is much easier to follow, and many of us will want access to that image while we start really putting iMap to work with these new kits.

Okay... check this out...

We have 576 people in the GB right now, and we're coming on to the 9 hour countdown.

In order to hit 650 and get that cool OWD Kit 11, we need to get 9 new participants every hour.

That is 9 people, for 9 hours, at $99 bucks, in best deal of '09.

Number 9. Number 9. Number 9.

If anyone can name that reference, Squids will give *ME* 9 ePointz! :P

Wow thats cool good to know, yeah I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the snare itself just not my taste (but my taste/knowledge is rather limited in rock drum context  )

definitely a taste thing...it is a 'hit' that i'd like to use occasionally like a rimshot, but for a standard hit it definitely grates on me after a while

Yes. MT kit pieces swap with MT and STm swap with STm.

And yes we ARE going to include the JB Sonor MT kit.

Thanks for the information about velocity mapping, Zedd. I have the free OWD 10 kit, and the velocity responses in that seems much better than the SampleTank IMap kits. Can anyone tell me if there is any control over velocity curve in the Infinite Player?:

Thanks

Squids wrote:Okay it seems we have to do this in phases of delivery. For bandwidth purposes we have to split the content out in several phases plus it is going to take a little more time to get some of the extras integrated in the best way so...

The good news is that I don't think we're going to skew who gets it first. That will be up to YOU if you can hold off and wait to download. Since we don't know who anxiously must get started we're going to try just make the first phase available to everyone in the GB starting first thing tomorrow (or even possibly late tonight after midnight since we'll be pulling some late shifts on this one).

So, what is in Phase 1? The following:

1) Everyone will get an Infinite Player Installer and a Kontakt Player 3.5 Installer in their user area. (If you want Kontakt Player 4 which also works with it you can download it right now from NI).

NOTE: This is just to make sure everyone has it but you still MUST choose Infinite Player in the next step to get the SERIAL NUMBER to activate it (otherwise the sounds will run in demo mode which is 30 minutes per session then it times out and you have to restart).

2) Everyone in the GB will get a Redeem Code to use here: www.downloadablesoundz.com/redeem.php Where you will enter that code and it will take you to a page where you can CHOOSE between the Infinite Player SERIAL -OR- if you already have an ACTIVATED Infinite Player (meaning you had a serial before and activated it with NI's service center from a previous purchase) then you can alternatively choose an STm Ludwig Jazz kit.

NOTE: Both of these - the serial or the Jazz kit - will be put into your DownloadableSoundz.com user's area instead of esoundz. This is the place where we can do individual and multi-choice downloads... we can't do it the same way on esoundz. You'll need to link your esoundz account to a Downloadablesoundz account and all you have to do is go into your esoundz member's area and check the box to link your account to DownloadableSoundz.com. Then you can use your SAME login data there. We DO apologize for that extra step but this is to accommodate the people that already have Infinite Player and we want to make them happy too!

3) The custom Ocean Way Drum kits for Infinite Player. We'll start everyone off with these to play with in this Phase 1. There will be 13 different kit sample zips to download and 1 zip that will have the patches for them all. Each download I believe is no more than a gig in size on average (if that helps anyone). These will be in your ESOUNDZ member's area in MY DOWNLOADS.

4) The 150 ODD GROOVES from Per are ready so they will also be in your esoundz downloads in your member's area.

That's what is in PHASE 1. Next post I will give you an idea of what will be in phase 2 and I think some of you will be happy with new news there.
crossing my fingers and hoping for phase1 downloads late tonight! :hihi:

Yes. MT kit pieces swap with MT and STm swap with STm.

good stuff...so we'll be able to swap between a couple of kits

i'm not looking to be needing any real drum samples for a long while....

You have a velocity to amp parameter you can adjust. No control over switchpoints... I mean unless you REALLY wanted to lift the hood if you own Kontakt full. But not recommended as it is bizarre how it is mapped underneath for the scripts to remap it. But they are more dynamic than most of the SampleTank kits we've done.
