I'm having a really weird sync problem with BlueARP. It's drifting out of sync.Windows 10 / Cubase 10.5 & Cubase 6.5.

It happens with both versions.

No clue what's happening by listening to audio. However, does this issue happens with factory presets?
Yes, it does. It's a great ARP but this makes it essentially unusable for me.

PS apologies for the delay for some reason KVR inbox notifications don't arrive properly for me.
This isn't what you think.

Have you tried disabling ASIO Guard for the plugin?

Post

True, it is something to do with Cubase apparently then.

EDIT: Doesn't seem to be present in 2.2.10, only 2.2.11
I tested it in 2.2.12, restart on key seems to work correct, arp restarts every time you hit a key/chord. I could miss it in 2.2.11, cause I did a lot of refactorings and could mess some things up.
Hi!
Restart on key neither works for me :(
It should restart on a new chord press, but pushing again the same chord (or pushing another, different one) does not force any restart. Struggling with this issue a version after another, trying to guess if there was any problem with the options I choosed from the settings for the arp behaviour or BlueARP configuration (settings' tab).
I'm on Bitwig Studio, BlueARP v.2.3.7
:help:
Maybe this short video will clarify the issue?

Also with 'restart on' = key check that if you press the same chord again, you should have the gap between them, otherwise bluearp won't restart its internal position.

graywolf2004 wrote: Sat May 08, 2021 4:48 pm With sync = beat 0, BlueARP solely relies on the beat position from host, which is exactly what ExtPos number on the bottom panel shows. It is just a beat position, it knows nothing about which bar is it. And as I see on the screenshot, it keeps incrementing steadily without respect to your shortened bar (it doesn't jump like from 10 to 12). As a workaround...
Do you know then, why the sequence is not reset on beat 0 of 4th measure (4.0.0) from my the first screenshot (this animated one). I would expect that and as far as I understood you correctly it is how it should work.
Might it be issue with Reaper?

I would like to stick with syncing to beat 0 as it fits my workflow
This is because bluearp knows nothing about bars in reaper, it only takes song position in beats. In theory it should be possible to use barStartPos parameter if reaper reports it, but not all DAWs do and it should be tricky.

Thank you for checking !

Post

I had the same issue in Chrome. But right-clicking the download link and choose "Save link as" downloaded the file right away.

It started recently and there were no changes from my side. A few days ago I underwent the google's procedure of prooving myself as a website owner. Didn't help. No idea why f***ng chrome blocks it. At least there's a way to ignore this manually, so I'm planning to add a few instructions to the download page to help other people with the same issue

Hmmm, I use Chrome as well but never had that problem

It's due to the links pointing to 'http' rather than 'https' (e.g. http://www.graywolf2004.net/files/2021/ ... v2.3.7.zip rather than https://www.graywolf2004.net/files/2021/BlueARP ... v2.3.7.zip )

Chrome in the most recent builds now blocks downloads of 'non-secure' stored files by default requiring that workaround for users (or for the host to link to a https download)

Chrome also now blocks links on sites where there's a mix of https and http - what they call 'mixed content'.
I think this started being an issue only recently as they held off on a release until the pandemic was easing off.

Are you safe?

Thanks for the tip! Exactly, I changed it to https in the download links and it works now. Will do the monkey-job of changing the links on the archive page later
