points went to michael2, the first GB participant to leave his details after I posted at macosxaudio.com
Plus, he, Rocketeer and Autodafe shared some good stories. Btw, Autodafe, that was Santa who gave you those. ;)

I think Michael2 deserves the holiday epointz of the day though. So extra for him today. We'll turn him into a sound junky, don't worry. ;)

The "e-Drum" mode is equivalent to the "midi learn" feature...correct?
Yes. Actually it is called "Custom" in the GUI. I just call it e-Drum because that's what it is for... midi learn to whatever controller you have. By the way to do that is a slight PITA once. But I will show everyone how to do it. Easy but a bit time consuming because you have to do it for each kit you want to control and then save the patch back. But once you do it you're home free. At least it has a quick remap feature at all!
It sounds like it would be much easier to simply create a preset in the V-drums (or whatever e-Drum being used) which will reference the desired notes for the kit pieces, so that they will not keep changing every time you open a new kit.

"A slight PITA" would be putting it mildly when we are talking about over 80 kits.

Okay, a major PITA. But it is there for people that want to have IT customize to you. I totally agree it'd be better to use the V-Drum map and make your module send those notes from the pads. So, what I hope people will do is help each other on how to do that in their modules and I'll show how to do it in the plug-in and... between the two an amazing combination that suits everyone's needs (more than before anyway) may be possible!

Quick question (and apologies if this has been asked already)...How would be the best/easiest way to use/map these wonderful sounds with a DrumKat controller? Both in general, and specifically as relates to hi-hat control? I usually record with Sonar8PE but would be curious for stand-alone use as well.

Background is I'm good with audio but seem to always get stuck with DrumKat mappping stuff.

Big thanks in advance!

Indeed. Indeed. I am all for flexibility, and will most certainly be using that customizing feature for certain things on a regular basis.

we have 15 slots left to 600. don't let down 585 participants who wait for another extra :)

and one more thing. this GB is a fantastic opportunity to enter OWD and IP world. so do consider expanding your libraries with other kits. just do support the dev as he deserves it. cheers

We're already set for those 600 bonus kits.

But with only 6 hours left to get to 650, we need 11 people per hour to get that extra OWD kit 11.

That is starting to look a little unlikely... but it sure would be a nice surprise to see things pick up here.

I've got at least one person almost talked into joining us. If just 65 of you can talk one of your buddies into joining the GB we will achieve our goal.

i'm all good...kit 11 doesn't do it for me...kit 3 dry is one that i might look into at some point, though i can't believe i'd find a need for anything out side the included lot

i wish for the most possible sales now for the team

I just bumped a couple of threads and the count went from 585 to 586.
Probably unrelated, but I like to think I made a difference :D

No. I've watched this for some time. I'm convinced that there is a relationship between bumping threads and sign-ups. It doesn't work this way all the time, but at a time like this, it helps.
