GEEZ-AAM -- the point of this thread (which i started) was for people to discuss the overall value of orion... platinum vs pro -- Since i did notice that either version would be the best value for my cash, outside of freeware i already use... i'm not really interested in having 2 faders on the master channel, (why would you need them, i'm assuming you mean for l/r - and um, on the master, would it not leave the mix lopsided, unless before the sound reaches the master, it's um, lopsided?)

Hate to admit it, but that mixer really is a thing of beauty.spaceman wrote:while we're comparing dicks

Childish is when you make a statement (about two master faders) and when some people ask you to explain you start running around the issuevtx wrote:troll....ya right,
I'd be perfectly willing to discuss hosts, workflows and options,
but in yet another childish orion-fruity thread at kvr, no thanks,
read back and see what happens when people have a different idea,
happens everytime, no, you guys should just get a room....
For the record, I didn't mention any other host, just what I like about Orion Platinum, while I actually DO use several hosts and Orion just being one of them.
So now we cleared that up: what's with the dual master fader thing ?

of course there's also the track mixer which makes getting around all tracks, busses, etc a lot easieradvaya wrote:Hate to admit it, but that mixer really is a thing of beauty.

Actually, I see you registered here on KVR AFTER I left so you don't actually know me do you ? So the statement about the 'same icons though' can only be ONE thing: TROLLING!vtx wrote:your back I see, same icons thoughcrimsonwarlock wrote:vtx wrote:neither one has 2 sliders for the master, tsk, tsk, etc...![]()

In acid pro (since at least version 3) you can unlink the left and right channels on the master...but like dover said, your mix shouldn't be going in there imbalanced anyway, so i can't actually think of a use for it.crimsonwarlock wrote:Childish is when you make a statement (about two master faders) and when some people ask you to explain you start running around the issuevtx wrote:troll....ya right,

doesnt each channel have pan?vtx wrote:I have acid also, I like the dual fader,
alot of vsti's have no balance on board and project an unbalanced stereo out, just makes things faster and easier, but thats thats a minor use
