Thanks DarkStar for the tests :)

There's like a refreshing problem when renaming the loop, as you can't see exactly which letters you are typing

:o I have tried this on 2 different computers, and it behaved the same way... :?
Did you verify that LiveSlice's Play button was enabled while you were renaming the loops?

Oops,

Now I see - the original name of the recording is redisplayed when the tracks loop round.

So: confirmed

PS Why is Arrangement F1 named "Individual"?

nothing - it's a bug :? I'll fix it along with the loop naming bug and do another minor update soonish. Thanks for testing and confirming everybody :-)

Hi,

Ohm, I have sent you an email (+ screenshots) concerning a display bug I have with LiveSlice v1.43 when changing "Number of visible tracks" parameter (hope it didn't go right in the spam folder like the last time I sent you an email  )

Cheers,
GilJ.

Post

GilJ - I'm afraid it did end in my spam folder - can't find it anyways :-( please send again.

I sent you the BR + screenshots again (using another email address this time  )

A little display problem on the Settings page (maybe the same as GilJ is reporting):

When LiveSlice is set to it's small size (Number of visible tracks = 1), and when you've got enough rows in the MIDI controller config table so that the Settings page has to scroll to be seen (6 or more controllers), then the bottom of the page is all black and you lose the "Save all settings as default" button.

i recently changed my gfx card from nvidia to an ati radeon 9600.. i'm not sure if this causes the problem i found today, but i know there are some issues with gfx drivers so i mentioned it. ;)

i was playing around with some of the samples from http://theoutsiderz.com and noticed, that i get drop-outs when i randomize events when using > 11 beats in the arranger.
here's the fxb, load it and click the dice http://www.bitmud.com/liveslice/gfx_bug.7z

btw. my system should be powerful enough as i also changed the mainboard and cpu (got a 64bit system now 8)).

Post

Can't reproduce it here sorry.

I don't think it's the graphics card, as a Radeon 9600 is sitting in my development machine. Ok, so mine's a mobile edition, but still it's more likely the issues are related to the other hardware changes.

What kind of dropouts are you getting? Audio or graphics? And you say it's only when there are more than 11 beats in the arranger?

It's weird cuz the non mobile 9600 has 128 megs of VRAM right? should be more than enough for keeping a couple of waveform bitmaps stored...

I'll send you beta's if I'm on track of something

i get audio drop-outs, i just play the first arrangement and whenever i do something gui related there's this short "hanger".
i realized that i don't get the drop outs when rightclicking the beat amount to 8, so i tested when it starts to drop out and in that bank the issue was starting with at least 12 beats.

the gfx card has 128mb, and my mainboard now is an asus k8n-e deluxe with nforce 3 chipset (had a nforce 2 formerly) with an amd athlon 64 3200+, 1gig pc2700 ram (333mhz). i didn't reinstall my os, so i'm still running xp 32bit.

drop me a note if you want me to give more specs or test something.

Cant reproduce this bug. I have almost the same machine as you R.A.W. and everything runs fine. What video drivers are you using? And what audio card?

This is a wierd one:

I have EnergyXT stand alone as my host. Within EXT, i have EXT vstFX loaded onto a MIDI track.
I load Liveslice into the EXT vstFX and route all other MIDI tracks into EXT vstFX so i can record into LS and have some fun.

WIth LS setup this way (within EXT VST), i cannot trigger arrangements with my LMB (meaning i cannot trigger the cells). It works fine if i just load LS onto the main window of EXT stand alone, but if i load it into a EXT VST within EXT stand alone, then the issue arises.

I still have LS version 1.29 in my folder and i decided to try that and see if I get the same issue but version 1.29 works fine even if loaded within EXT VST.

It's just with the latest release i get this strange bug.
