Anybody got a Plugiator yet ?

Thanks for that - yes, it does work, but it's still not as useful as a proper MSB / LSB / Prog set-up.

MSB = ID code for the Plugiator
LSB = separate code for each plugin, plus one for user presets
Program Change = Preset number

Seems simple enough in concept, are there any major technical hurdles to overcome in implementing it, Ray?

I would like to know a bit more information about the FMAGIA

I have a CME controller UF7, with the UF-400E installed.
I am considering buying the plugiator, but want to know a few things.
What sounds come with the Fmagia ? Is it equivalent to a GM/GS/XG sound module ?

Can you layer sounds too ?
Piano/Warm Pad ?

The plugiator is a synth, with the exception of B4000, it is strickly a synthesizer. No pianos, emulations of electric pianos in lightwave but not really convincing. have you listened to the plugin sound demos on the use audio website. If you want a piano, you need a sample based module.

This plugiator looks interesting. Wonder how many more synths or emulation UA will release.

they claim they are working on more. but really eight are quite a few. none of my other synths are that flexible.

Vsti loading would make it like a Muse Recptor

there's a lot of cool things they could add, like using various parts of the different synths to create a single sound like arturia's origin. or just being able to layer two plugins at once. but the bottom line you have to look at is the price. the muse recepter and origin are a lot more expensive, and in my opinion you get a lot for the price. right now you can buy a fully loaded plugiator for $475.

Im saying there should be something inbetween a £300 single DSP outboard desktop unit and a £3000 rack mount I/O system.....
