That's a BIG thank you to Velinas for the new API's!
They are excellent: everything about the tight, focussed, punchy sound of that eq is in there!
Well worth the work, Velinas!

agreed, just tested the new programs and they are just amazing.
There are 44 new programs, velinas used high-end converters for sampling them.
As usually I'll tell you that the original hardware will be better, but hey, they are really close now.
My point is the same: there is no other developer able to add new high quality emulations with this release ratio.
You'll find more details here:

keep up the sharing community!- "Vovox" cables were used for all analog audio connections
- A/D conversion was done by Apogee AD-16x
- D/A conversion was done by Lavry Blue
- All signals were recorded by RME HDSP9632 (via AES/EBU)
- The AD-16x was clock master, clock got distributed to the other units
by Apogee Big Ben clock.

The eq's and compressors you get for the money are out of this world.

The original hardware now is practically only better in theory. If Velinas were using the API eq to record, it would follow the exact same conversion path, so technically that is the path we are all using for the API eq inside Nebula!.Zaphod (giancarlo) wrote:agreed, just tested the new programs and they are just amazing.

Since the engine doesn't detract anything, but actually rather maintains 64bit dynamic protection of the signal... it is mostly modesty maintaining that the hardwre is better:)
I've listened to so many settings on this new release over and over: in my opinion it is spot on- if anyone wants color for their signal path they can adapt it any way they choose. Truly awesome!

Put those in the program and vector folders but they don't show up in Nebula.
I'm using version .083
Got clues ?

try nebula3 version 1.3.085 (the last one). Tell me if it works (it should, because velinas tested programs using that version)
Each N2P file should be located in "programs"
Each N2V file should be located in "vectors"
Velinas didn't provide an installer in this case (it's a limitation introduced for free releases)

Thanks Giancarlo. You guys are doing a great service to the audio community and the evolution of plugins. But please, please get that website overhauled. I didn't find ver. 085 because there's no logical structure to the way the files are shown. I tried the "sort downloads by" but in the end I just figured I had the latest one. I can imagine plenty of people would feel the same way.Zaphod (giancarlo) wrote:try nebula3 version 1.3.085 (the last one). I really think you are shooting yourself in the foot with the current webdesign. Please view this as constructive criticism. In my book you are the good guys.

OK, here the direct link to nebula3 free. You don't need to register for downloading it:
http://www.acusticaudio.net/modules.php ... t&lid=1137
I know it says "you need to be registered", but it is not true, we'll change the message asap.
You need just to type the anti-spam code suggested.
This is the last version available, 1.3.112, currently used by our customers.
Our site will be sorted soon, at the moment all free releases are located at this page:
http://www.acusticaudio.net/modules.php ... ads&cid=80
and documentation is available here:
http://www.acusticaudio.net/modules.php ... ads&cid=84
New api programs are instead available here:
www.nebula-programs.com
You need to register to that site. This is not a site of mine/acusticaudio, it is the site created by velinas. You need to forward questions directly to him (he is the owner/admin there).
This evening I'll test directly programs created by velinas, in order to understand if something is not working.
