OK, here's a slight variant on 'emotional' music. It was a stirring performance in Berlin, February 13, 1960. Ella forgot the lyrics to Mack the Knife and 'improvised' her way through it, going on to win a 1961 Grammy for Best Female Vocal Performance (Single) AND Best Vocal Performance, Female (Album). This was when a Grammy meant something. Also added to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999 (award for qualitative or historical significance). Thus, Mack the Knife, Ella in Berlin, is very emotional when you consider winning awards when flubbing the lyrics--that's how beautiful an artist she was. (Especially since the Berlin audience is known for being pretty hyper-critical of any musical performance. Remember, this is the home of Native Instruments.)
