DC2007 Prize Distribution... FINISHED! Thank you one and all2008-07-30T22:52:31+00:00Here's how it's going to work.
The donors of some non-cash prizes have specified to whom they want their prizes to go -- maybe to the top three, or to OSX developers, or it could be the donor's personal choice, or some other criterion might be the deciding factor. Those prizes will be awarded according to the donors' wishes, of course.
All the other non-cash prizes go on this Virtual Prize Table. *whips away opulent silken cover to reveal a large folding utility table* Hm. Looks better with the cloth on. *replaces it* There.
Now, once all the prizes are on the table, the winners will pick from among them in order of their ranking in the Developer Challenge 2007 results. xoxos, mucoder, and Ugo have already been awarded their cash prizes, so they'll have to wait a little for their turns; their picks will be delayed by a number of turns that I hope will provide the most equitable possible division of the goodies, giving everyone a fair shake.
Because Tolga* lined up so many donors, and because those donors were so generous, the prize table is going to be overflowing with glorious loot. I believe everyone will get at least one prize, and if my estimate is right some will have a second pick as well. If things run short I'll come up with something to ensure nobody goes home empty-handed.
Yes, it's true: as the Dodo said after the Caucus-Race, " Everybody has won and all must have prizes. "
My next post in this thread will be the list of prizes. I'll update it as I confirm which prizes the donors will allow to be distributed in this way. If all goes well, the prize picking can commence tomorrow (Thursday), my time (U.S. Eastern Daylight Time).
I'll call out whose turn it is, then that entrant can post what they want to pick. I'll update the prize list to show what remains, then call out the next winner. This will repeat until all prizes have been distributed and dozens of studio floors are covered with ripped-open virtual gift-wrapping paper.
Once more I thank you all for your excellent entries in the DC, and for your patience while the million details get worked out. The reward for your talent and stoicism is imminent. *salute*

You've won one prize from Dash, but that prize isn't a choice from the table -- it's a HQS+TDP sound library bundle that everyone in the top five gets. Eve2 isn't one of the products in the HQS+TDP line, I'm afraid. Here's the page for all of Dash's sound libraries: http://nusofting.liqihsynth.com/dash-so ... aries.html
You should contact Liqih about what libraries are available -- I think he told me you could choose from Mellotronix or one other that's not shown on the page but I think can still be provided as a prize. It's possible there are others; I don't know but he will.
For right now, you can choose any item in the second post in this thread that has "Available" in bright green next to its name. Here's what's on the table:
* $30 downloadable sounds from ElectroniSounds (there are three of these left)
* Complete archive of SynthEdit or SynthMaster sources (your choice) from JoBro Media (two of these remain)
* Your choice of downloadable albums from Zircon Studios (there are two of these)
Each winner may take one item (one $30 download, or one SynthEdit source bundle from JoBro, or one Zircon Studios CD).
*bow* It's my pleasure. Might take a few minutes, I don't seem able to send email via KVR at the moment. I'll keep trying. Meanwhile, on to Chris Roberson, the next prize winner.
so the prize that I will send will be a bundle of TDP player, HQS Mellotronix and the EVE 2 library, so you can use and taste the samples included in EVE
