Hi, I just had another crash. This time running Usine standalone with two instances of Circle.32.dll VSTI being fed midi from Eckel VSTI.
I had been playing around with cpu core affinity, trying to figure out how cpu distribution works with this and especially the best approach for crackle free audio with high cpu use. When the plugin crashed I had been running Usine in single core mode, with each auxhost.exe being assigned to one core,
then the crash was when changing presets on the second instance of Circle.

"A plugin has crashed (Circle, id: 1178687281). Last dispatch opcode: 53"

The plugin did however continue to run throughout the crash message and ppreesing ok on the crash dialogue allowed continued "normal" usage with the exception of some GUI issues (the background was bleeding through parts of the plugin)

Hi, when using multiple instances of Kontakt3 I get the following message:

"ATTENTION! Locking memory does not seem to work properly. Under certain circumstances, this might result in bad performance, notes being cut off or other artifacts. Please make sure that you are logged in with administrative priviledges!"

Anyone else getting this problem? Is this being caused by Konkakt or the JBridge ?

I'll check it out, thanks.

I am seeing this too sometimes, doesn't seem to affect anything though.

New version out, Kontakt users should update, as this one corrects an important issue with it.

umd,

If we already have purchased this and are using it, do we download the public version or are we supposed to wait for you to send this update to us?

Hi.

Currently (during the beta stage), the paid version updates are e-mailed to the buyers a while after the public version is out ( usually a day later ).

This is just to allow for some testing time, to make sure nothing got broken.

If I find something wrong, I'll skip it and wait until I have a build that passes the testings.

However, if you don't want to wait, feel free to request it before.

Hey umd,

I just replied on your blog, and only now spotted this thread here.
I'm using Nuendo (which is basically Cubase) and would like to use
Kontakt twice (bridged and native). But as RiffWraith already stated,
the native plugin gets replaced with the bridged one.
Is there a workaround?

BTW, I maybe have some valuable info for you.
I am using Automap 3.0. The plugins get wrapped by a dll which
has the same name as the plugin but with automap in brackets.
SOME plugins appear twice as it should be (native and wrapped)
but in some cases the native ones get replaced with the wrapped ones.
To me this looks like that it is plugin dependent.

Is it already possible to wrap 64bit plugins into a 32bit host?
Especially Play SO Gold.

Cheers,

Stevie

Hi!

Unfortunately I still don't know what causes the issues with the duplicated plugins... :( Still investigating that one. The only workaround I know is to use something like bidule or exergyXT and put them inside it.

Yes, use the plugin_name.32.dll in your 32bit host and your 64bit plugin. It detects the architecture of your plugin and launches the corresponding auxhost (32 or 64 bit).

This is so f**king awesome (sorry for swearing  ).
Play 64bit works within Nuendo 32bit!

I'll check the Kontakt issue now...

Glad it works for you. :)

Folks, I've put a new version out ( 0.84 ), which adds two experimental performance options, I'd like to know how it works for you.

Thanks. ;)

Hi!

You mean the message "Locking memory doesn't seem to work properly...?".

I have seen it too here, but doesn't seem to cause any problem. I don't know what it is, it comes from kontakt.

how many instance do you think we can load maximum ? like 4 or 5 instances until the limit of the memory ?

thanks.

Hey guys, I'm trying to wrap a 32 bit -> 32 bit in normal Windows XP x32 SP3 but I can not get it working :( I'm trying to wrap dblue Glitch...

1) I have installed JBridge, I can see it all under C:\Program Files\JBridge
2) I placed my copy of glitch outside my vst plugins folder in C:\Program Files\Steinberg
3) Under my VST plugins folder I have the 2 files

dblue_Glitch_v1_3.32.dll

and

dblue_Glitch_v1_3.32.txt

4) The text file has the following text inside it:

"C:\Program Files\Steinberg\dblue_Glitch_v1_3.dll"

5) VC 2008 redistribute is installed
6) Then I load Cubase 4, and get the error:

auxhost.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point GetThreadId could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

The same error occurs in Wavelab too.

Any ideas?

I don't know that, that's something you must try and see.

It seems the XP 32bit doesn't support that call, let me know if v0.85 works for you.
