Anybody running Catanya demo with Tracktion 3.0.4.8 on XP SP2?
That's what I use on my Windows partition (Bootcamp, MacBook Pro) and Tracktion is working quite well, with Jamstix and diverse VSTI:s.
But as soon as I try to instantiate Catanya, Tracktion poof crashes and leaves without any further comments.
Any ideas?

This looks really cool.
Someone took the Energy XT 1.4 "Arp" component concept, threw some presets in and made it ergonomic.
Bravo 7Aliens.
I find it funny though that many Energy XT 1.4 users are "wow"-ing at this, when they had it all (and more) already in XT 1.4.

Im so happy to stumble on this thread. I bought catanya
today. I like to use it in protools8. The VST-Rtas
wrapping went fine I think. (The GUI behaves a bit spooky though)
But..( this seems silly and the answer is probably simple)
What routing should I make ? I can send midi to Catanya..and then what?
How can one send catanyas output to a softsynth? There is no manual.

Basically you set up chords etc in your DAW routed through your designated VSTi's on a midi track and Catanya 'arpeggiates' them into useable phrases. Have the output of Catanya going into the input of your softsynth. Highly simplified answer i know...but in a nutshell, thats about the bones of it.

The thing is...in ProTools you have to bring in Catanya
as an insert on a audio-track. ( there is no midi-insert)
You can send midi from a midi track to that insert
(softsynth or Kontakt etc.) And thats it.
There is no midi-out. Only audio-out.
I was hoping there is some kind of "aux-send-bus-trick" otherwise I
threw away my 45 euro.

Just install Reaper and ProTools will see it as Rewire insert
In Reaper Catanya works beautifully !
You can't use Rtas-instruments but most softsynths/samplers
have a vst version included. (I even can slave Reason to Reaper)
Reaper is very friendly on CPU.

It's too early to speak about the Mac version and its licensing but we don't plan to arrange any extra strict conditions. Please let me know how you get on with this as I am interested in the product. I had trouble with the D/L demo and the RTAS wrapper too. Nice plug-in, but too simple. It is good to make a bass lane quickly and effortless.
What I do not like
1. 1/16 grid sometimes is not enough, to add nuances we need 1/32 grid.
2. Guitar strum is not possible at the moment.
3. There is not independently twickable Cutoff or Resonance or CC 11 (Expression - very good for gate effect), just velocity dependent. Two more twickable MIDI CC, please.

Hi 7Aliens, is there any way to make the sequencer not restart from the beginning when you play a new note from your keyboard? Other than that Catanya is exactly the step arpeggiator I'm looking for.

Oh baby! I did it already. It's perfect. That's why I came on here and asked this question. Catanya is the perfect compliment to Eloquence. The only thing Catanya needs is the 2 different sequencer trigger modes. Key and Legato.
