The Warhead is Dead pantera/damage plan guitarist's Darrel Abbot aka Dimebag's signature solid-state randall monster amp head (300 Watts IIRC) which is on almost everything he did AFAIK. Then he was workin with Krank Amps for an all-valve amp which is the 'Krankenstein' but he never got to play it coz some guy shot him downhibidy wrote:there is a thd bivalve

Hi Peter,
very intrigued by your "Marshalls" comment - keep them coming !
just updated the list again, lots of new stuff in pics 59/60.
Some from existing packages as well ...
Curiosity rising ...
Another try at getting some "spoilers"
:
-- What did you mean by
-- In pic 49 there are two stomps on the rack, the left one being a Boss Phaser or Tremolo (if it's green as it appears to be - not sure, the colours in the pic seem to be way off)
-- any chance of getting some hi-res versions of the pix ?
A few of the remaining Qs could probably be solved if a stompbox were bigger in resolution than 2 1/2 pixels ...
-- I've included the Focusrite ISA-828 pre in pic 23 - are those peripherals also relevant ? Kinda hard to draw a line ...
Just asking, don't know what you may or may not say.
Cheers,
susiwong

Not mentioned at all yet or misidentified ?Also, there's an EH box that was completely missed somewhere in there, difficult to catch for sure so I'm not surprised.

The portion of the pic on page 49 is shown in greater detail on page 61. It's a (lime green) Boss Turbo Overdrive. The Boss Tremolo is a much much deeper green.susiwong wrote:

OK, pic 49 / 61 - the stomps are a Boss OD-2 Turbo Overdrive and a Marshall Guv'nor 1.
Both very cool pedals !
Pic 62 - something by Marshall, rough estimate pre '75
Pic 63 - the Triple Rectifier (again ?)
Cheers,
susiwong

already updated !
The Turbo Overdrive is yellow - like I suspected, the dim lighting in the room threw off the camera.
Now for that interesting Marshall ...

haven't looked at the picture but if it's lime green it might be the PN-2 (which was originally going to be called Swing Pan but Roland decided to call it Tremolo / Pan

After some quick Googling my guess: a mid 70s Marshall JMP50 MK II. Apparently the polarity switch only appears on the export models.susiwong wrote: Now for that interesting Marshall ...

Hey, Funkybot, great !Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:After some quick Googling my guess: a mid 70s Marshall JMP50 MK II. Apparently the polarity switch only appears on the export models.
That was my problem, exactly. Never seen one like these.
Care to share a link ?

A brand new pic shows the color was off and it's a Boss OD-2 Turbo Overdrive .
Cheers,
susiwong
Those PN-2s were way cool, btw, just like the TR-2 Tremolo.

You can make out the polarity switch on the far left followed by the "stock" power and standby switches and red indicator lamp.

Wow you guys are doing well. About the one pedal, let's just say I find it difficult to answer the question without giving it away
Phenomenal pedal, though anybody interested or who follows my tastes well enough knows it could be any of the guesses already made anyway. I only have one of the two major guesses on my pedalboard though.
I love seeing the external gear threads too, that's very helpful for folks not as hip to the non-virtual gear.

Thanks !
Today's pics have cleared up a few things nicely, and raised some new ones.
That blasted pedal ...
My theories about the new Marshall:
It probably has the KT66 or 6550 tubes as it seems to be an export (i.e. US/Can) model.
Thanks, Funkybot !
Would make sense as an alternative to the EL34 SuperLead.
50W vs 100W - not yet decided, could be both.
Imho 50W vs 100W doesn't really make much difference in software, as opposed to hardware where the increased headroom and punch of the 100W makes for a rather different perceived sound, again ime.
Looking forward to those Marshalls a lot !
Cheers,
susiwong
