I understand what you mean, but I really don't think the "glide" is a good idea. Imagine the singer just jumping up and down an octave - that's like a third of the singer's available interval, so the detected frequency would just stay somewhere in the middle.musicbynumbers wrote:Thanks![]()
Will send a clip sometime this week when I have time.
The smoothing helps to stop it randomly jumping to false notes but would be great if instead of changing frequency instantly (As in 0 amount of time between changing frequency) if it had an ability to glide so It took say few milliseconds to get to the new detected frequency it might not make the pops.
Will attempt to post visit at some point to explain it better
MDynamicEq and MAutoDynamicEq released with riddiculous introductory prices! - LAST CHANCE!

After demoing this, I knew I had to get it. It may possibly be the best eq I've tried, although I can't say for certain after such a short time testing it. I'm really looking forward to delve deeper into dynamic equalization!

Ahh .. that's why ...MeldaProduction wrote:The thing is, the plugin must let him do that and close the window, because some of the hosts (e.g. Live) tend to destroy plugins and a plugin with open modal window being destroyed, that's an inevitable crash.
This is also a problem for my workflow in Cubase 6.
I often need to change something in the host, while tweaking the advanced settings in MDynamicEQ.
Currently, I constantly have to reopen the advanced setting window ...
Maybe the behavior can be made host-dependent ?
And while I'm at it ...
Is there a chance to make the modal setting windows open on the same display, as the plugin ?
Or even better, let them remember their last position ?
Here on my 3 display setup, I always have to drag them to across 2 displays ...

Was thinking like only 1 to 2 milliseconds, just to stop errors induced by an instantaneous jump of that singing going up an octaveMeldaProduction wrote:I understand what you mean, but I really don't think the "glide" is a good idea. I could upload the preset and if you have a vocal you could run that through it and have a listen.
It tracks well but occasionally the sudden jumps create pops.
Perhaps I could record the output of the tracking as automation (if that is possible? ) so I can smooth it out manually.
Will keep experimenting

Unfortunately it's not that simple. Please send me the audio clip and preset you are using and I'll check it out when possible.musicbynumbers wrote: Was thinking like only 1 to 2 milliseconds, just to stop errors induced by an instantaneous jump of that singing going up an octave![]()

Anyway I more think about some detection of noise-like parts, which then should be ignored. We'll see.

Well, unfortunately that's very hard and it already took a lot of time to make it this way, which is more or less stable (except for some complicated hosts on Mac)._dada_ wrote: Ahh .. that's why ...

About the 3 monitors - which OS are you using? It should work fine on Windows.

OK .. would it be hard, to put the curve design into the advanced window ?MeldaProduction wrote:Well, unfortunately that's very hard and it already took a lot of time to make it this way, which is more or less stable (except for some complicated hosts on Mac)._dada_ wrote: Ahh .. that's why ...

( maybe shrink the big filter type buttons a bit )
I know You'd like to keep it simple ... but editing the curve,
means I have to reopen ( and move ) two windows, each time I click something in the host.
This is definitely not simple
OS is Win7. Display setup is a bit unconventional.
The 3rd is below the two main displays
Modal windows tend to open on the 3rd, only rarely on the left main display.
I would need them to open on the right main display ...
Plugin GUI is always on left main.
Thanks, Jan

Curve design to the main band params - definitely not, I'm sorry. This is feature is very very advanced and would confuse almost everyone.
With the displays - well, that's gonna be hard to check to be honest, because there is simply no HW at my disposal to check such a weird configuration. I'll try to debug in my head though

Thanks again, Vojtech.
If You have a second display at hand, it may be enough,
to position it under the main display, in Win7 settings.
No need to put it below physically ...
( mine is also not under the main displays, physically
Are You saying, the modal windows should/can store their last used position ?

Yes! They store everything, position, size, sometimes even contents if it doesn't depend on actual settings._dada_ wrote: Are You saying, the modal windows should/can store their last used position ?

Took the plunge and bought it. Really good to have a side chain EQ in Cubase, using it all over now.

Just bought it, love the analyzer section... Though when the FFT/sonogram is running it slows down Logic responsiveness a lot. Any plans on future update to improve the performance on that?

With the performance - for some reason drawing speed on Mac OS is just slow. There were already several attempts to improve that, but it seems it's just slow. On Windows it works quickly though. Will keep searching. Right now the Mac64 compatibility is almost finished and it brings some additional "advantages" (hopefully), so maybe it will help on its own.
