I absolutely love this synth. The new skin is amazing, but some labels would be nice on some knobs... I scratch my head often. However, the sound... pure liquid bliss. LOVE

Ditto all of the above.vaisnava wrote:I absolutely love this synth. The new skin is amazing, but some labels would be nice on some knobs... I scratch my head often. However, the sound... pure liquid bliss. LOVE

I guess I must Add that it needs smoother knob reactions because its kinda jumpy setting volumes for each OSC and other things, and Idealy a "right click" Learn knob.
However the sound of this thing... oh man! Bliss
Also some of the patches (towards the end) break up and distort with more than 3 notes pressed in the latest version of Reaper. I have a Intel i7 and Saffire Pro so I dont think its ASIO Buffer or CPU related.

Just a heads up, I got a virus detection alert from norton on the metro, but not the steel. Kinda weird.

Well this is odd. I have Microsoft Security Essentials in my development machine and I'm quite sure I don't have any viruses roaming around. Also, the plugin doesn't do anything that should alert the heuristics in a scanner.Panphobia wrote:Just a heads up, I got a virus detection alert from norton on the metro, but not the steel. Edit: I scanned the files using Microsoft's virus scanner and got no alerts. But I take this issue very seriously, so if you guys could scan the dll file using whatever virus scanner you're having, that'd be great. I'm 99% sure Panphobia's issue was just a false positive by Norton.

I suspect this is CPU related. Try lowering the polyphony. 32 voices is often overkill (usually plugins with comparable sound quality limit the polyphony to 16 voices).vaisnava wrote:Also some of the patches (towards the end) break up and distort with more than 3 notes pressed in the latest version of Reaper. All knob reactions will be smooth in 2.0. In 1.0/1.1 the smoothing is limited to select few knobs.vaisnava wrote:I guess I must Add that it needs smoother knob reactions because its kinda jumpy setting volumes for each OSC and other things, and Idealy a "right click" Learn knob.

Awesome! Very useful sounds. And it helped me find a bug in MauSynth GUI: the preset menu isn't refreshed after loading a new bank. It will display the presets in the old bank. I need to fix that.

how is this advertised as a "frendly user interface"? those colors in the op make my eyes bleed
Finally!

AZZZ, A quiet lake sounds sooo good..! Good name also, especially as this - for me - is the only synth i so far can say sound "liquid"
It's like if you row a boat and gently drag the ore through the water and can see the swirls.. maybe some birds far away and the wind being combed by the crowns of the pine trees.
I've been playing around with this patch for a while now ... i love it! The modwheel didn't seem to do anything so i set it to control pitch of osc 1 (for that syncy sound) and the filter cutoff ... Yum!!

Ah, sorry I should clarify. Norton will tag vst's quite often. I didn't mean there is a virus, just that there seems to be a false positive. I am really sorry if this caused any confusion.

No worries, this is useful information. There's lots of Norton users out there.Panphobia wrote:Ah, sorry I should clarify. Norton will tag vst's quite often. I didn't mean there is a virus, just that there seems to be a false positive. I am really sorry if this caused any confusion.

If it helps at all, most of the false positives are from synthedit vsts although not all of them.
