Let me try and sum it up for you this way.......ever heard of maschine? I have it. It's SINGLE PROCESSOR support. All these other hosts I bitch about are like maschine on this computer except sonar (decent) and reaper (spectacular)

I want cpu efficiency! Of course that would be logical...... (my god, how hard is it to find a mccoy picture that fits? )

ztar into that?!?!
I run my ztar thru a host (cantible) not a daw then line out.

This is my regiment.

Open Band in a box.
Pick a style.
Enter chord progressions.
In a separate window I'll run cantible with a plug in. Get an idea of how I'll play the parts. If it's a 1OFF I'll do a screencast and capture the speaker out.

If it's more serious I'll export the drums only from biab find a decent kit and burn to my aw. Stereo drums done.
As I've practiced the song by now I'll build up instruments one track at a time. I already know the progression but I can print a fake sheet with the chords.
Play bass via the ztar thru cantible via line out.
Play rhythm guitar thru amp mic'd or line out on amp.
Play ztar key's rhythm via cantible line out.
Play keys lead via ztar cantible

Mixdown and master.

I mostly come here for lolcats at night... Mostly...
Cowbells!

Post

Hibidy, can you stop with these GIFs? Not everyone has broadband to admire your silliness. Thank you.

Post

It's stated (somewhere) Bitwig threads must contain lolcat or cat related images to be taken seriously.

Yes, I agree it's starting to become a bit annoying. Some of us click on these threads in the hope to find some new interesting discussions and information, not to wait for some irrelevant gif animations to load.

I didn't want to be a killjoy, but I have to agree as well. I check the thread when it is updated so I can get some news about Bitwig Studio, and the last three or four pages have been nothing but cat gifs and YouTube links.

Honestly, guys, if there is nothing to say about the thread's topic, just stop updating the thread.

(And yes, I like cat pictures very much, but I come here for audio-related stuffs. When I want to look at cat pics, I go to Reddit.)

Post

OK, no more cats, agree.

More on topic, not really Bitwig yet, but here is something with a grid:

Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

Please forgive me if this has been talked about in between the pics, but is Bitwig not supporting AU? Their homepage mentions VST 32/64. Ohm Studio also doesn't support AU and sadly that is key me thinks for many mac users. Am I wrong in thinking this?
