This. Funny how people take sides - if it's hip trendy cool or bad looking marketing. Have you ever seen the original TB-303 ads? They're hilarious. They're all a friggin synths - capable of what *you* make of it.

I've seen a lot of NewTek commercials for their Video Toaster on the Amiga so I'm used to this and have no problem with it. Actually I kind of like them.

I'm really excited about Nemesis, looks like to be a powerful and versatile synth with very good sound.

Enough weird shit has happened to me this week that I'll just say this video was part of it, and maintain cautious optimism that the actual synth will be good. :D

We are following the standard Tone 2 product rollout procedure:

1. A cheesy Dub Turbo-style video geared towards dimwitted EDM producers. Thank you for telling me the product is "high end" multiple times.

2. A demo with anti-piracy protection that beats your dog and rapes your goldfish.

3. A synth that turns out to be quite good.

Step 1 has been completed. Looking forward to step 2.

It is good, actually it's great :)

Couldn't watch more than 20 seconds of that video

Hahaha, that vid... I guess it was made by competitors to discredit Tone2. All that marketing crap and horrible 3D animations (which don't have anything to do with the product); perfect for bullshit bingo.

Come on guys, you are way better than this.

Each time, grumbled about the promotion of Tone2 and each time later the software is sold as sliced bread. It is so terrible these trolls here.

The only troll I see here is you. All the others are simply stating their opinions in a fairly balanced way. It'd be nice if you could stop with the name-calling and just post on the topic at hand. Alternatively, you could go cry like a wee girl, whichever you prefer.

At least you're right about one thing, Tone2's synths are SOOOO good that people buy them in spite of the horrid advertising. Oops, there I went a-trolling again.

I watched it till the end. But failed to hear any real FM instruments. It could have been called neowavetable as far as I can hear. I'm currently under the impression that my hw Dx and FM8 still have some beautiful days for good service.

I'm not saying that neofm sounds good or bad btw. Just saying that for someone used to fm, it seems -as in the demo- to lack the subtle, living tones and lushness of it by a large degree .......

Maybe that's because you are accustomed to hearing pretend/pseudo FM from the DX-7 ilk......

I'd say that it's impossible to tell what kind of synth potential Nemesis has from that hysterical video. It's obviously aimed squarely at hearing impaired EDM kids with severe attention deficits. Of course, that does say something about Tone2's commercial priorities…

It might be interesting (hopefully) to hear what kind of demos more sensitive patch designers might come up with in due course. Until then, Nemesis is decidedly off my radar. LinPlug Spectral, here I come!

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Just saw the video, will not comment! :P

one question tho... why is there 2 "MAT" tabs?
I find that kind of silly.... I mean, couldn't there be like neatly placed A,B tabs within a single "MAT" tab?

Very interested to give this synth a try, at 1st glance I can't really tell what makes it that unique as the video describes it...

Looks and sounds pretty cool so far if that's really the sounds of NEmesis being used in the video.

The video is pretty .. gimmicky but it seems to explain a lot.

looks like FM8 might have a new competitor now since I imagine a majority of the EDM heads will be going for nemesis when it is released.

I'll be looking forward to demoing this one when it's released.
