4-why i'm always confronted to do same thing that we hear in radio and shows for drinky pepole to be heard?

Finnally WHY MY FRIENDS DONT LIKE MY POST ON FACEBOOK AND OTHERS ,i have to do some erase?

I totally understand where you're coming from and I do resonate with your situation, but you have to take a bit of time and ponder upon a few things:

- first, you have to find within yourself the answer to the following question: "why are you making music in the first place?".

- second, you have to understand the whole music industry is going through a major overhaul: labels are not what they've used to be, contracts don't mean much these days, Youtube and the social media platform have changed folks' perspective for ever.

- third, keep in mind nowadays you can do magic with a laptop and a bunch of software; ppl don't need a proper studio anymore in order to produce an album or record a song. So the ammount of new stuff that is released daily is huge - and you have to go head to head with all that.

- fourth: luck and good timing make all the difference in the world. Sometimes no matter how much and how hard you try, things simply don't fall into place the way you've hoped for.

============================================================
Now my 2 cents regarding your questions:

1. Unfortunately that's normal behaviour. All you can do is do your homework and try researching as much as possible about a label before signing anything to them. Other than that, there's not much you can do - and they know it; in fact, their whole behaviour is based on that: most artists don't have the financial resources and power to go after the label if/when they breach the terms of a contract.
-----------------------------------------------------------
My suggestion is to remove the "middle man" (aka the label) from the equation and manage your music yourself. There are many ways to sell your songs directly or through various websites. Keep in mind that labels don't invest in obscure artists - they simply don't care and still there's a long line awaiting at their door, so they're not gonna run out of "milking material" anytime soon. IMO it's best avoiding these sharks.

2. Yes, the sad truth is that social media platforms such as those are not the best way to promote your music:
- Soundcloud offers hosting space for your songs and has that nifty comment feature, but other than that, it won't get you legions of new fans - they will promote their paying customers' stuff before any free music.
- Facebook is IMO a waste of time - your info will get lost in their ocean of junk messages. Plus it's so intrusive with your personal data and so cumbersome to personalise that is just a major pain in the arse.
----------------------------------------------------------
On the other hand, these are good for seeing who genuinely likes your music: I too have a ridiculously low ammount of Soundcloud followers and less than 30 Facebook likes :) But those numbers are very important to me because each one represent someone that decided to support my music without me asking - and that to me is fascinating: anyone else besides me that likes my music is a major gain in my book ;)

3. Each generation grows up and gets "educated" with a certain music genre. Music taste changes as we grow older. These are normal. On the other hand, most listeners don't actually hear the music beyond that sonic background needed to dance in a club for ex. For them it's just another consumer product - they don't perceive it as actual art, nor do they know how to properly rate & comment it. Don't expect too much from the young generation: they are at an age when they are supposed to party & live at max, not wasting hours upon hours on song commnets. In their eyes a simple word like "dope" is enough to say they like your stuff :) And why should they spend more time on it? They're not music critics after all :)

4. Well it depends whether you're making music as a hobby or to pay the bills. If you're just a hobbist, then you can make whatever type of music you like and not give a damn about everything else. If someone else likes it fine, if not, who cares, you're still getting your kicks. However if you intend to make a living out of it, or at least pay some bills with your songs, then get ready to comply with whatever your client wants - be it a radio, label, webzine, or your neighbour who wants a jingle for his kid/wife/etc's birthday. You can't keep your artist integrity and still make heaps of money - I mean it can happen, but it's as rare as as a hen's teeth these days :)

5. Good :) Take the matter into your own hands. Let's face it - if you can't or won't put all the required effort in promoting your own work, why should someone else do it? ;)
----------------------------------------------------------
Last, but not least - here's the ugly truth: there is no such thing as "friend" or "family" in the virtual world - all those "ties" can be severed with a simple "Unlike"/"Unfollow". As for real life, if your actual family & friends can't be bothered to support you out of their own free will and not by obligation...well I guess that says a lot about how much they think about what you do :) They're still your kin so don't take it to heart, but at the same time don't look for their approval all the time and keep walking on your own path - once you get rich and famous I bet they will reconsider :)

Well, sorry, Im not stalking him around the web.
Im not that interested. :hihi:
But I have read this thread and all I recall was him being non specific about 'shit', except in that quote above where he specifies the impressions of his own work.
If I am mistaken and he did call someone out who is doing better work, then Im surprised he got away with it and was not quoted into oblivion.

Per the 1 bar music and learning how to do that;
Don't.
[prepare for a slightly pretentious mindset to come in.]

Don't lower yourself to the quality of the many. Raise yourself above and beyond that.
If you know how to WRITE music, not just doodle in a few notes in a single MIDI bar, then do it. Write YOUR music, not theirs. You're better than that.

As it has been said a few times in this thread; do music for the love of music, not for the love of people.
I will admit; topics like these do need to be posted in KVR on occasions because from time to time we tend to ignore a lot of the posts that go up in the Cafe, and the good thing is, as you mentioned, it brings a lot of attention to your music, and I hope you have gotten some of the feedback you have been looking for.

We can't really offer you much more

Not my playground since more than a decade but listening to the tracks with joy. No wonder I like the older stuff a bit more (e.g. "Acid bomb over harrow").

Wonder what Smartfusion thinks about it. I mean: the tracks.
Really? All these incredible artists here and you selected me? Wow, flattery isn't even close.

In my 100% honest, mirror like, truthiness Mushy. I listened to this link the OP posted about the top 100 song on Beatport. Meh.
Then I saw your stuff posted and first song was groovy and kickass, well above the quality (overall) than that top 100 song.

Smartfusion wrote:YA THATS WHAT I TALK ABOUT from one bar you can do it but you have to arrange or add some chords inversion stuff like this , but in electronic music you have possibility to change texture with just one bar ,I HATE THIS but what you want now we see track 3 minutes ,shame!!
for example take this :
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x11kc ... o-hd_music
number one on beatport ,thats why im so sad cause this is really shit and people support this shit and there is million of real talent and producer that deserve some audience[/url]
Smartfusion wrote:pfff always some comments you suck guys !! seriousely this is really shit not my point of view and if their soundcloud is more full thats cause there is a huge industry behind them , and behin me you are so really you are not pusshing anything , imagine this guys telling their producer : you doing shit do better all time , is this a good method to make progress no !!so the mast time i tell this : respect or im gonna really get nervous.
they help their producer they not fu**ing desperate them like this by telling them do best , I DO BEST than this f**unik producer i know it and f**u* everyone can think that this shit of track is better than i do , if my track have one sound engineer and a big label think you will hear great difference. take a kick add a sub and a " tatatatata" melody which is not melody anyway and thenyou have the track listen to my track HEY LIFE , you think this track is bad than the guy one , seriousely a part mixing what elese different from tsunami anyway , me a t last i did an orchestration soudn my self not sample it and im proud of this cause dont have any musical formation for this kind of stuff , and i see some kids doing shit in box and labels tell pepole waw soudn great well it is not it is : we will force you to listen this cause we wanna all kids do music cause music audience is essentialy kids these days ,money man money thats all the story ,you wanna make something different this doesnt work you wanna be you this doesnt work : many labels told me this: we want the sound of a & b & c not you sound sound like them and we will see.which means we want the music industry to not change to stay like we want it to be thats make money we are not musicians and we dont care about music just money. got it .

Do you really like Martin Garrix "Animals"?

IMO it's pretty boring, I've heard more creative songs even in the 80ies...

The mixing/mastering is pretty good, and the loudness is optimized to squeeze the most db out of it...

-- but, CREATIVELY, it's pretty lame...

+1

It seems that so many people come here not to ask for advice about how to write their music, but more for advice on how to conform with what they perceive as the 'requirements' of a certain genre.

Be a genre buster - do something new and exciting. I personally find it hard to see what satisfaction I would get out of producing a nth generation copy of another artist's material.

@ TrickyLoops I didn't say I liked it. I said it was better than the OPs soundcloud tracks and that it isn't "shit". Surely you can hear that its well produced and doing exactly what its meant to do. Can't say that about the OP who admits he writes music he doesn't like in order to be popular. Then he complains that noone cares about it ...

Nowadays many EDM songs follow same pattern cuz people have used to that same usually also boring patterns. People knows that pattern works and dj's play those kind of stuff and bcuz of that they plagiarize each other. And that's true Martin Garrix's Animals repeat same thing again and again. It's still big room house and it makes people dance. Creativity or not. But Im blaming sample cds and specially Vengeance stuff cuz almost everyone use them and that makes music sound same. Also people use ready to go loops and bass/synth riffs and midi stuff and patterns. That all makes music same and it doesnt sound creative or inventive at all. Beatport is also some kind of authority which makes people make music same. Every young producer wants to be Martin Garrix etc.

Btw What happened Robert Miles music
I bet he could make Top 20 music if he wants...some people get bored to make music people want to hear from them ;)

Sorry out of topic :)

Here's what people listened 1996

+ 1,000,000

I don't have the impression that mediocre DJs get famous just because they're making mediocre mainstream music that sounds like a mediocre copy of all other mediocre songs.

I still believe that people can get some success (some time) who are making strange, unconventional, funny songs like I do...

And even if not, making the same songs like all other 1,000,000 trance musicians won't make him famous, either.

To get attention, even Martin Garrix must have produced something which sounded better or more attractive than the other songs.

Of course, WHEN you're well known, then you can even produce mediocre music because people will listen to it, anyway, just because there's the name "Martin Garrix"...

Anyway, I DON'T think that all of the mainstream music were shit and the OP the only one with high quality music who had no chance because of the evil music business and the evil kids who are listening to evil mainstream s***t...
