1) Are you using the Behringer FCB1010?
2) Is it controlling Pitch or something else?
1) Yes, it is programmed so each 'patch' sends a different note on/off message (using as triggers) and the two pedal are sending CC1 and CC2.

2) Nope or yes
In the video, I use a patch from Hypersonic 'Nylon Finger Acoustic Guitar' that will modulate (vibrato) when sending CC1. But in the EZ app, I use 2 mapping, values from 0 to 70 will send a value of 0 (no modulation) then the rest is remapped from 50 to 127 (it is a bit tricky to hold the pedal all the way back, that's why I used that trick).

Btw. did you notice the fret noise ? sometimes it's perfectly in sync with the playing, but I guess this is generated randomly.

Temporarily I have both.
The one in the video is the AG.
Purchased the EG as an upgrade but it did not work out for me.
See links below for the reason:

Are you selling it ?
(I'll pay full price + shipping + 50U$ handling cost)

Would you recommend the Behringer FCB1010?
I heard it's a little complex to set it up and I am not so good at these things.
I mean I can learn anything but I am not sure I want to.

BTW I just received Halion3 but the damn thing is so cumbersome I decided to sell it.
Anybody interested in Halion3 let me know.

Already shipped it back to Amazon.
Why? Are you having a hard time finding it down there?
(your in Australia right?)

The FCB1010 is really good, robust and the continuous controllers (the 2 foot pedals) work very well.
In the midix.zip file is a fcb1010 utility that makes it very easy to set it up. As I said, in my config, the FCB1010 output stays fixed, I then do the mapping thru software (like the ez-Ag 3.hta app) or directly in the VSti.

Halion is a great sampler, you should give it a chance, now I agree it has a learning curve.

Call them that you want it back

No, I'm in Switzerland (snowing right now..).
It looks like only Amazon is selling the EG (at least in the western world) and they don't ship to Europe :(

So, as I said before if any one wants an extra 50U$ (never know how broke you are :) ) I'll pay the amazon price+shipping+50U$ (prepaid).
I want a whammy bar
Seriously, I don't mind having both, and being able to practice these wild scales on the EG is a big +.

Well you can not just call Amazon, they do not advertise their phone number and they also do not pick it up.

Also currently they are on back order but more coming soon.

EZ-EG is also available from
http://www.jr.com but they also do not ship outside of the US. Their price is $299 + shipping (Amazon is $292 with free shipping)

If you really want this I will gladly do it for cost (no need for extra $50)

PM me with details.

So about the foot controller, can we make it control the velocity levels of the notes you are triggering by the tapping technique.
I think this will be the ultimate for solos.

Left hand tapping.
Right hand resting.
Right foot controlling velocities.

Hold on here is a better idea.
Both Left hand and Right hand tapping
Right foot changing velocities, Left foot controlling the mod wheel.
+ Left foot aslo clicking on foot pedal(s) to jump octave up or octave down.

Wow! I can already hear it with the FM7 MWboost preset. (one of my favorite for nasty killer solos)

If you have ver. v. 3.05 of my ez app, it's already possible to assign a controller to the 'Fret Down Velocity' (See Type (destination) in the foot pedal section, it's called FD Velo, then adjust the min max values).
I will also add triggers that responds to incoming Midi messages (patch change, note on, cc), so we can use these foot buttons to trigger various settings (transpose, play back,..).
Currently I don't have a mode that allows to play piano mode like Markleford's app (polyphony on the same 'string'), but if someone needs it

And thanks for the offer, I'll PM you .. tomorrow, now it's bed time.

I've lost another one!

Oh well. At any rate, it's good to know that Marc got the preset changes with SOUND SELECT +/- as I hadn't had a report of whether it works on an AG. I still don't know what's wrong with yours, though.
I wonder what it will come to, when the two of you combine forces in that :D :D :D
Hopefully very very good things!

Hi Markleford!
 I´m so sorry ... I feared already, that i made you cry...

BUT: i just realized that you have a killer feature, Marc doesn´t ... :D ... that is the pull-off to open strings in guitar mode. I was wrong in my first post, when i said, this was working in the unmodded version. The honour of having implemented that is definitely yours and for me this is almost a reason to switch back to you again...
It really makes the ez feel much more like a real guitar ... really nice!!!

SecondSkin watch out for that, as that felt like a major downside for you in the beginning...

But i have to admit, i´d love to see that feature in Marc´s version  , because what makes your app so unhandy to me at the moment, is that problem with switching presets. Is that done by a midi-message also? And if yes could i try to send that message to the program from elsewhere, maybe? (i suppose, there is a problem with the another midi-driver on my system, that is interfering somehow)

so please keep the good work up, and don´t miss that feature in that hopefully upcoming "big application"...

also i forgot to say that your visual display of the fretboard is very useful in identifying "physically hanging" notes (triggers), that appear to me sometimes when i fiddle around not very elaborated ... ;-))

Could you download a fresh copy of my app and try again from scratch? And if you get the same error, please tell me what the error says? (and a line number if there is one)

That is done by a bit of convoluted logic to track MIDI program change data for each internal "SOUND". The trick is that a few of the sounds are actually repeated (according to MIDI: they sound different from the EZ speaker), so I have to track it via more obscure means.

However, I'd never had you problem previously: I suspected it was a difference between the EG and AG, but since Marc got it working on the AG I don't know what to say!

Incidentally, I've still yet to get Marc's app working on my system, so there is irony at work here.

Anyway, I'll add an on-screen control for changing the program soon as a quick solution. But for now, it's my bedtime!

What I like the most in Markleford app is the display of the velocities.
