We are currently beta testing the new Custom Waveform Editor!
If you already own miniBit and would like to try the new features, contact us.

That's one of the reasons why we are moving to 64bit only. If you can, just use the 64bit version, next update will be 64bit only anyway.alvfaria wrote: Sun Nov 11, 2018 4:52 pm
Houston, we have a problem.
FL Studio 20 32 bits on Windows 10 64 bits. On FL Studio 64 bits it works fine.
Say it ain't so...audiothing wrote: Mon Nov 12, 2018 3:34 pmThat's one of the reasons why we are moving to 64bit only. If you can, just use the 64bit version, next update will be 64bit only anyway.alvfaria wrote: Sun Nov 11, 2018 4:52 pm

Yes it does, the square, pulses and triangle waves in miniBit are based on the NES audio chip.
I know, unfortunately we decided to drop 32bit for many reasons, you can read more about that here.Russell Grand wrote: Tue Nov 13, 2018 4:28 am

I understand that devs are moving into the future and 64 bits is where it's at, but there are some of us that are still producing music on 32 bit OSs and in 32 bit DAWs.I guess it's on those of us that are broke to catch up instead of the other way around.
I do understand. It kinda sucks but I'll get over it.audiothing wrote: Tue Nov 13, 2018 7:07 pmI know, unfortunately we decided to drop 32bit for many reasons, you can read more about that here.Russell Grand wrote: Tue Nov 13, 2018 4:28 am

The main one is exactly what happened here, obscure bugs tend to appear only in 32bit builds, and on some hosts they are almost impossible to reproduce in a debug environment. The time spent debugging and releasing fixes for these situations is, unfortunatly, not worth it. Especially when the same build version works flawlessy in 64bit.
Hi nachenko, thank you for trying miniBit.nachenko wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 9:42 pm Hi, audiothing, I'm demoing the plugin, and I have some questions:
Unfortunatly it's not possible to add dotted as that would mess with all previously saved presets/projects.nachenko wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 9:42 pm 1 - The included delay offers sync time such as 1/4 or 1/4 Triplets, but not 1/4 dotted. Am I missing something?
Each preset has 8 slots for the custom waveforms. So every time you load a new preset the custom waveforms are overwritten/updated. However, if you want to use the same set of custom waveforms for all presets, you can disable the Global Setting - Update Custom Waves (from the three lines button).nachenko wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 9:42 pm 2 - It seems like there is a fixed number of slots for custom waveforms (very slick editor, by the way, amazing job), does this affect all presets using this waveform?
Thanks, I'm glad that you like it! I'll have a look at those issues ASAP.nachenko wrote: Fri Dec 14, 2018 9:42 pm Also, I found mouse does not respond as expected on sequencer (Ableton Live, Mac, VST). SOmetimes, when I click on the time selector and select a different time unit (from Bar to 1/8, for example), it blinks and then goes back to the initial value (Bar). The second time I do that, it works as expected.
Another thing: I noticed the wave selector responds to the mouse wheel. There is a problem for Magic Mouse owners users regarding that: it's too sensitive: I'm switching to a different waveform the whole time by accident. This doesn't happen with a conventional mouse wheel because it has steps, but the Magic Mouse responds to pretty much everything.
Other than that, your plugin is a great piece of software. Congratulations.
Unfortunately, no, we don't have any comparison chart. miniBit CM was released in 2015 as a limited version with less waveforms, less effects and of course less features. You can probably compare the list of features from this MusicRadar article with what we have on our page: https://www.musicradar.com/computermusi ... -cm-621695ztrauq wrote: Sat Dec 15, 2018 9:04 am I've been playing around a bit lately with the CM version of MiniBit, intrigued by the waveform editor in the latest update so considering picking it up. One thing I didn't see on the project page was a comparison chart of the differences between the CM version and the full version. Is that information available anywhere?
Thank you! Yes, the waveform editor was something I wanted to do for a while.nachenko wrote: Sat Dec 15, 2018 11:37 am audiothing, thanks for your response. What you told makes sense, the issues I found are minor stuff and I'm sure you'll find a fix for those.
I just bought the plugin.
Just for you to know, the thing that opened the wallet was the waveform editor. The thing is ,I'm skilled enough to get that Chiptune sound from any wavetable synth, as long as it lets me load custom waveform.
it just happens that in order to get custom "chiptuney" timbres, your plugin is much, much more convenient thanks to this waveform editor.
I have a "game making jam" in January. I hope I can show off your plugin.
