I have to agree, vertical mouse movements always seem better for fine control

We tried this during beta and it didn't work out well; made the layout cluttered, everything was harder to use and read. Labels had to be concatenated and it forced the shrinking of the headline numbers. If it was a more simplistic plugin it'd probably work, but to have this much information onscreen constantly, without it looking a complete mess or hiding info has been tricky. We've increased the information density a lot compared to other limiters and a big part of what makes that work is the horizontal faders.

If you prefer vertical action you can set the threshold by dragging down on the time series graph or use the mousewheel to adjust the values.

Hold down shift and use mousewheel - very fine vertical control!

Yes that certainly gives enough precision, just a shame the GUI went to pot when you tried the vertical sliders :)

Vertical mouse works the same as horizontal for me:

Exactly! :)
I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

I've been testing Pro-L in Dynamic mode (lookahead 0, att 540, rel 10 ms), Limitless in Aggressive/Manual mode (lookahead 0, dynamics 24, rel 10 ms) and Limited-MAX in Clean/Punch mode (lookahead 0.1, att 500, rel 10 ms, everything else off) and managed to make them sound very, very close to each other.

Using the above settings, Limitless is a tiny bit more open than the rest two.
I have tried to achieve the most transparent sound possible.

It's amazing how Limited-MAX can sound just like the more expensive Pro-L and Limitless, I am very positively surprised.
Definitely a great bang for the buck!

And has only 1 sample latency with oversampling off!!!

Gave Limitless a quick tryout against ProL, FGX and Ozone 7. It was as good as, and in some cases better than above, not by a huge margin. Not going to give into GAS on this one, although depending on the type of signal you are limiting it's definitely worth a demo.

Yep! I stand corrected

Did anybody compare this to Limiter NO6 ? As far as i know that is still a freebee and to my ears doesn't sound bad at all.

Finally got a chance to try this.
Very nice, transparent and musical.

I've been demoing some of the other limiters (Nugen, HOFA, AOM, TBProAudio, Voxengo, Brainworx, etc) and the only one that passed my transparency test beside Limitless, Pro-L and Limited-MAX was Hornet Magnus.

Amazing at its price point!

My choice according to transparency and sound quality would be:

1. Limitless
2. Pro-L
3. Magnus / Limited-MAX

/edit
I'll have to correct myself, Magnus distorts way to easily for my taste :dog:
